This is all due to it being released early I think. It's a bt=it of a lose lose. Release it early to combat the leak and lose a decent peak due ot not being ready, or release it at the due date and have more promo etc but lose out due to a leak.

That's what I've been thinking. I think they made the right decision though as 'Dancing' was never going to be a huge chart hit anyway so they may as well get it out early so the fans can have it. The team did what they could and used social media well, giving a bit more info each day and that buzz has made the fans excited for the era and set the album up well.

 

Also lables with acts like Kylie need to focus on Spotify way more than they do.

What sort of things can they do? I'm not really familiar with Spotify promotions and whatnot.

Expect to also see new tunes on the chart this week from Dua Lipa with IDGAF (top 25), Rudimental's These Days, ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen (top 30), Kylie Minogue's Dancing (top 35) and Keith Urban's Parallel Line (top 45).

So should beat the peak of #46 that 'Into the Blue' achieved.

I don't think so. She's on track to sell 7.9k and that's not going to be enough.

Top 50 looks certain for based on those sales.

I imagine it'll end up at #46 or so.

Question vinyl copies of Dancing in the bundles... Surely will have their own catologue number and be added to the sales at some point. Also this will probably be released stand alone too.

Sadly, it will miss the top40 in a week when sales are low too. I wonder what Kylie and her team need to do to achieve even a minor hit - the video coming out sooner might have given it more exposure but clearly she is going to struggle now like many older female artists.

No one except Kylie fans have heard it. I am sure she will do a full promo, dancing release one Friday soon. Still think she can get too 40 when that happens
