It isn't at all shocking for me. For Kylie in 2018, you have to set any expectations incredibly low.

Why do I just have a little feeling something will happen at The Brits for Kylie?

Apart from the hardcore fans, who else would know this was out? There’s been very little promotion or radio play. I’m not shocked by the sales but more surprised by the lack of any real promotion to promote her comeback. I also think the album will struggle too unless there is a shift in marketing strategy.

Am I wrong in thinking original release date was 16th Feb? So we could see stuff happening. The remixes are ready to go! Should help with streaming

 

Album will do fine! She is going to have lots of pre orders and no promo yet...... So many formats even if gardcore fans hair by it she will go top 10

 

She is on Voice in March, her concerts will get publicity plus probably Chris Evans Radio, Graham Norton, ant and Dec take away, Jools Holland? The one show....... Dancing has been top 70 on iTunes for nearly four weeks now! She needs adding to Spotify playlists....

 

Plus I do think she will be presenting at the Brits. She will be with her BMG crew and missed last year so ........ Any kind of promo at Brits even if dancing is played as she walks out to present an award would be great

 

The thing that is keeping me positive is the tweets she sends with stuff about Dancing etc and clips from video etc, it's almost like she is teasing their are bigger things to come!

 

I can also see another Kylie TV special this year

I'm pretty sure the original plan was to release it on February 2nd to coincide with the video, but they were forced to release it two weeks early due to the leak?

 

As for the album, in my mind I was always thinking she'd get a top 5 fanbase album that'd slump out of the top 100 after 4 weeks. But with the different formats and stuff maybe she could be angling for a #1 if it's a dead enough week? Also if all the singles are getting Radio 2 support maybe it could encourage album buys if they're more catered to that audience? Maybe I'm being delusional in thinking it may achieve the impressive feat of outselling Kiss Me Once.

Single 2 and the album will have more promo probs, no point wasting all the good chances early on/

She is going to have to start planning and rehearsing her concerts soon so I guess we will have to wait until March for promo. Maybe BMG thought she could have a hit with just hype and no promo.....

 

Graham Norton only has shows on 16th and 23rd then the series finishes. I didn't see a musical guest yet for this week?

What is for sure now is that she is falling fast down itunes UK chart so unless she releases the remixes tomorrow or she does some promo, the weak momentum will be lost...

It fell down to 70 the other week and then revcharted. Fans will buy the remixes probably out on Friday and can generate another 3000 sales to give it another week in top 100 no doubt.

 

Let's see if anything is lined up for Brits.

 

She is defo doing something as on Instagram she posted photos.... Ps is that Howard Donald from Take that on one of the photos?

 

 

Also she surely will reduce it to 59p soon as this is what most of top 20 on iTunes is

 

Actually Graham Norton usually starts new series at beginning of April so that would work well with release of Golden

Out of top 100 in Update today. not a surprise

It'd be perfect for her to get on the new series if it indeed comes out in April. Have her as a main sofa guest, perform single #2 and BOOM,.

Right so basically I think Kylie is trying to get Dancing to chart the same week as the Golden album! Lol

 

She now has a Australian exclusive CD single available to prevorder to be released on 6th April alongside album. Crazy...

 

She has the vinyl single, the Cd single but won't release on mass.........

 

She will mentor Tom Jones contestants on The Voice
