I know it's scary, but I'm sure it will be fine. It will probably take some time to hear that though...seeing as this is the government. They want you to drop everything and take care of it, but they'll take their own sweet time in getting back to you.

I'm so sorry sweetie...let us know what's going on ok?

They can't prosecute you for buying DVDs from an On-Line Site that states they are originals, surely? It's him that has committed the crime, not you.

I'd seek legal advice. Do you have the equivalent of Citizen's Advice Bureaus in Belgium where you can get free legal advice on consumer rights?

And yes, I'd get in touch with E-Bay as well.

There is no way you can be prosecuted. I mean, everytime we go into a shop or buy from any kind of catalogue/on-line store we could be buying fakes. None of us know for certain. We just take the seller's word unless we have reason to think otherwise. Jeez, they would be prosecuting the whole world!

Anyway, what are they hoping to achieve? The UK guy ain't gonna be extradited to Belgium to face a charge of selling a couple of fake DVDs is he?

Wonder how they know they are fakes?

Thanks for the advice, will let you know how it all ends. I've send the letter with all my mail and a copie of the add and a statement that I didn't know they were fake and that I don't want them anymore, I tried to email the guy sometime ago because my dvd's didn't arrive but he doesn't answer and he's not registrerd on ebay anymore. I contacted another guy on ebay that bought the same thing from the same guy, and he did get them but they didn't come from the UK but from hong kong <_< .

I don't know how the police know they are fake, they must have opend my package, but why?

Trying not to think about it to much, I don't care that I lost my money and don't have the dvd's, I just don't want any trouble :(

Sabrina, I'm sure you have some sort of protection and you can maybe get your money back. Go onto the E-Bay website and it gives you details.

They probably opened your package by chance. Just as Customs search random cases at the airport when you come back from holiday they open random packages that arrive by air-mail.
