REALLY good performance by the way!

Just makes me sad how we never got performance like this by Dua herself but at least we have Studio 2054 and Jingle Bell Ball around the corner now!

Some excerpts from the Attitude interview

It’s entirely a right to be able to love who you want, not just because I have friends in the LGBTQ community, but because we’re all human and we deserve it. It’s something I feel very connected to and will continue to fight for.

To be able to use my platform to spread awareness, show support, talk about it, to make people feel seen, heard and safe, to communicate with charities and try to do my part as much as I can… I see that as my duty.

I’m just grateful to have such an incredible community filled with so much love, so much enthusiasm, so much creativity – you know how you go, ‘sugar and spice makes everything nice?’ That’s what the gay community has.

We love a LGBT ally

From her Vogue India interview:

I wish that in the eyes of the media, those efforts were recognized. Female artists are put under a microscope. Their talent comes last. They get talked about more for their outfit than their performance. That would never happen to a male artist.

We need to see equal amounts of men and women in the industry, racial audits need to be done, we need to see women in higher-up places. There need to be more women in studio settings to help young female artists feel more comfortable.
