February 2, 20205 yr A longer break will make for a much more exciting comeback, maybe wait till 2023 giving it 5 years off. I'd have preferred civillian BB but with the ratings that was getting I doubt it'll be coming back anytime soon. I like the sound of a CBB for celebs with bad reputations but it somewhat limits the stars they could get to appear on the show THIS! Although tbh wasn’t the last series of CBB sort of like that cast wise with the “media storm” theme? They definitely need to keep it off air for now though. Love Island got popular because of how long it had been off air so it felt fresh at the time.
February 2, 20205 yr Sceptical Brett is sceptical in the truth in this. After the Jade Goody documentary (especially the comments Davina McCall made in it), I don't think that Channel 4 would risk its reputation by bringing it back to the channel. I feel its moved away from what Big Brother was by the end and moving into more "respectable" reality shows like The Circle. Now if they were to try to revive Big Brother as it was supposed to be in the beginning ie a social experiment, rather than the loud attention seeking behemoth it turned into, then maybe I can see them going for it.

February 2, 20205 yr I would prefer it not being on the same channel as The Circle tbh as I worry one would get favoured over the other but nevertheless I would LOVE for it to comeback . I do agree though it could with another year or so until it came back so people can miss it a bit more .
February 3, 20205 yr It would the worst thing right now for it to come back as soon as this year. I worry it’s gonna go to a bad channel though. C4 are wise at keeping The Circle and focusing on that though.
February 3, 20205 yr Have C4 confirmed The Circle is coming back? I couldnt see Big Brother on many other channels, potentially something like E4 seeing as that had the equally trashy Celebrity Coach Trip currently.
February 3, 20205 yr I don't think E4 would have the budget for it It would if C4 chucked money at it as funnily enough it's on the same network therefore funded by C4 :P
February 3, 20205 yr Yeah but each channel will have their own budget. If C4 were going to spend a load of money on a show (and BB certainly isn't cheap), it would be on the main channel.

May 12, 20205 yr Wow!!! :o A step in the right direction, and possibly testing the waters. I wonder (but very much doubt) if it will cover the Channel 5 era too. These lookbacks are always just about the C4 era. Yes it was the peak and the most memorable but it’s always the same stuff wheeled out!!
