I'm afraid I agree with Milly on this one. I thought they were dire. If you concentrate on their vocals rather than the visuals it's clear how bad the performance was. I haven't read the Mail comments; I don't have the heart for it.

I actually quite like Odyssey as an overall package and concept. However, last night their vocals certainly didn't live up to TT standards. I would have chosen a different song to Shine, although I like the new take on Everything Changes. On a completely superficial level (apologies to Mark fans in advance) I think he looks dreadful at the moment. He hasn't looked well for sometime - hope he is healthy and there's nothing wrong other than a 'mid life crisis' style wise!

Then we will have to agree to disagree. I don't see how it sound any difference from say One Love concert. Maybe it's his look that's distracting.

I haven't seen their One Love concert - thanks I'll take a look. Unfortunately, I do struggle with Mark's voice, which is an acquired taste and not to everyone's liking. I will say one thing - there is great chemistry between the three and Rob; although as mentioned by others I didn't particularly like the Rob/Ayda bit. I found it rather distracting and unnecessary.

Marks new image is not the best and for a very attractive man he didn't look attractive.

The album is Number 4 in the mid week chart on sales of 11,000 plus.

20,000, possibly 25,000 looks likely for this week.

11800 so far so easily 20000 more this week. It's strange that im not liking this era at all but I want them to do well at the same time.

The better they do the more likely they’ll come back again with new material in 3 or 4 years I guess. I’m just going to enjoy them now, as it’ll be a while before we see them promoting or heading out on tour again
Ideally odyssey in cd1 was new versions and cd2 originals but I'm sticking with the originals and kinda think these new versions don't exist,if the tour was the original songs I'd be there in a shot but as its the new versions I'm skipping the tour.

I think they did say they would do the original version of Pray at the tour. Myself imagine it will start with a slow version and then lunch into a dancing one.

Surprised there’s nothing from Australia, Austria, Switzerland etc

Switzerland#45, Austria#55 and Australia#63. I'm disappointed in all of the positions that are non top 40. The fact the album hasn't charted AT ALL in all those nations where previous reunion albums did --even if lowly-- is quite something. If you took these positions as a basis for touring then the tour reads like this: UK, Ireland, Taiwan and Germany.

Debut week (normally highest) a loss of 10 previously charted nations is huge and can't be underestimated. Not even down at the bottom of the charts.

If they cared about the European tour then they should get promo going across Europe and Asia. They don't physically have to be there, though after opening week it's clear either people didn't know the album was out .. or people simply no longer care.

Take That being a UK exclusive act has been mentioned ever since they went down to a three.

Though this has only happened truthfully with this album, the fact they charted all across Europe previously --regardless position-- showed they had an audience. Now it's clear they don't and so the 'UK only' tag is now befitting.

They are scaling back and as mentioned they are largely a UK based act.

This has become more evident since Jason departed.

In the UK they have a large loyal fanbase and many of their fans just purchase their albums regardless.

The loyal fanabase across Europe is smaller and i feel this release has left many fans,( myself included) disappointed and they are not as keen to support it.

I'm happy with them sales too as they weren't to far off number 4. Here in Ireland the albums drops from number 3 to 17.
