Ideally odyssey in cd1 was new versions and cd2 originals but I'm sticking with the originals and kinda think these new versions don't exist,if the tour was the original songs I'd be there in a shot but as its the new versions I'm skipping the tour.

Is this true? There a couple of tickets left for the Birmingham shows and I'm thinking of going, but if they're going to do the Odyssey Pray, I probably won't. I really don't like it.

Having just joined and read through this thread, it's so negative. I think it's great that they've got a remixed greatest hits album to Number 1 - I wasn't expecting it, with the biggest first week sales of 2018. These are things to be proud of.

They said they're doing the original Pray on tour.

The Westlife single was written by Ed Sheeran and you can tell, is sounds like one of his solo songs sung by someone else.

Ah, makes sense! It’s a very good song, and shows that bands like WL or even TT can make a dent in the charts if the song and strategy is right.

Great to see them looking stable! Another 7k this week and a step closer to platinum.
Sales are low, but if they hold the position, 7k is likely and that's with zero promotion.

With regard to Westlife I think it'll be the same as Giants, like Take That it has had a strong opening few days however now is slipping.

It'll be #1 in Ireland though as on all platforms it's charting highly.

In terms of the UK, Spotify #113, Apple Music #92, ITunes # 5 and You Tube #19. I put the four in order of most weighted towards the charts.

My guess between 10 and 20 debut in UK.

They were never going to match the success of Take Thats comeback with Patience.

I am not saying that from a comparison of boyband vs boyband, it is very hard for older acts to perform well in the singles chart.

Additionally, the new Westlife album wont come close to the matching the 2.5 million + Beautiful World managed but it will still manage some good success.

I am disappointed for Westlife, they lost out on Number 1 in Ireland by 39 chart sales.

The Thursday release cost them an Irish number 1 and a UK Top 10.

If released on Friday they would have achieved both.

Wonderful to see Take That still Top 10 on the album chart at Number 8.

40k more needed.

If they continue to sell steadily, around 5000/week, they should reach platinum in 2 months.

I think Westlife did good, especially seeing the Odysee
