The previous cover said "CD 1 The Latest Chart Hits and CD 2 The Greatest NOW Hits Ever". I'd prefer if they either threw in a few classics on CD 2 or they do a CD 3 entirely full of classics

do we know when we're getting the tracklist then?

I'm ready for the disappointment of the year. Still really don't get the decision when they could have made a separate spin-off called 'NOW... Celeberation', don't get how they can do 'the greatest NOW hits ever' in just one disc.

We should get the tracklist tomorrow with it going up for pre-order on iTunes on Friday

They said at the start of the year there'd be a 100-track album with one song from each album. Is this not going ahead now? Or are they planning a Christmas release for it.

If this is a compromise then it's a weak one. It should have been a 2CD regular album and the 5CD spin-off, at the very least. Could have been such a money spinner for them too, this seems like such a poor business decision. Still, I'll wait to see the tracklist but I'm sure the greatest hits disc will be 'same old same old' songs from the spin-offs, so it will be a lot less value for money than the regular Now albums usually are.

Yeah I'm not looking forward to the tracklist. I'm more pissed that current hits get 1 disc over the usual two like whose great idea was this...
I'm hoping they use it as an opportunity to include a few of the hits they missed out over the years including Mr. Brightside, Shape Of You, etc....

Either way, I know that Now 100 will indeed be my last purchased compilation as I’ve lost interest in the way these compilations are made and I would rather just make my own playlist on Spotify of my favourite current hits rather that be disappointed when they are not on the latest volume.
Even if Disc 2 was a collection of songs that previously missed the cut for whatever reason (Eminem, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, Adele, etc.) would it still be worth it? Yes it would likely be a Disc of 15+ #1s or otherwise incredibly popular songs, with this being their first/only Now appearance, but does that even matter? 10 years ago, sure, but with streaming as big and easy to access as it is today it’s not hard to make yourself a playlist of “Songs that Now ignored”

ah well, that's a rather good disc 1 considering, I was worrying there'd be too much MOR but they've got a good mix of everything.

I'll do a text version up shortly.

HAHAHA wtf is that second disc

Disc 1 is fairly good though, obviously theres a few glaring omissions but I suppose thats ok for 1 disc

Hmm...well Ed made it but I wasn't expecting Sing  Hardly his most classic single?

Good to see Hips Don't Lie is regarded as one of the absolute best songs of the last 100 Nows I guess, and amusing to see some of those acts on Disc 2 (S Club 7...) back on a numbered Now.

Disc 1 still looks blighted by various licensing issues but at least there are a few No.1 hits on it this time.

The major disappointment for me is “Freaky Friday” missing out. I just hope all the other hits which missed out appear on NOW 101

Disc One:

1. Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa - One Kiss

2. George Ezra - Shotgun

3. Clean Bandit (feat. Demi Lovato) - Solo

4. Ariana Grande - No Tears Left To Cry

5. Anne-Marie - 2002

6. Jess Glynne - I'll Be There

7. Years & Years - If You're Over Me

8. David Guetta & Sia - Flames

9. Post Malone - Better Now

10. Jonas Blue (feat. Jack & Jack) - Rise

11. Liam Payne & J Balvin - Familiar

12. Banx & Ranx & Ella Eyre (feat. Yxng Bane) - Answerphone

13. M.O, Lotto Boyzz & Mr Eazi - Bad Vibe

14. Tiësto & Dzeko (feat. Preme & Post Malone) - Jackie Chan

15. M-22 (feat. Medina) - First Time

16. 5 Seconds of Summer - Youngblood

17. Bebe Rexha (feat. Florida Georgia Line) - Meant To Be

18. Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey - The Middle

19. Khalid & Normani - Love Lies

20. Jax Jones & Mabel (feat. Rich The Kid) - Ring Ring

21. Cheat Codes & Little Mix - Only You

22. Shawn Mendes - In My Blood

Like I said, I'd prefer two discs of current hits but at least this way there really is no filler, all reasonably big hits or about to be, and a good mix of dance, urban and pop. Disappointingly no Drake though.

Disc Two:

1. MU4 - You Can't Hurry Love (GMB Competition Winners)

2. UB40 - Red Red Wine

3. Phil Collins - Against All Odds

4. Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer

5. Wet Wet Wet - Love Is All Around

6. Spice Girls - Wannabe

7. Oasis - Wonderwall

8. Robbie Williams - Angels

9. Cher - Believe

10. Britney Spears - ...Baby One More Time

11. S Club 7 - Reach

12. Destiny's Child - Survivor

13. Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head

14. Justin Timberlake - Cry Me A River

15. James Blunt - You're Beautiful

16. Shakira (feat. Wyclef Jean) - Hips Don't Lie

17. Take That - Rule The World

18. Coldplay - Viva La Vida

19. Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl

20. Ed Sheeran - Sing

21. Mark Ronson (feat. Bruno Mars) - Uptown Funk

22. Justin Bieber - Love Yourself

I like that they've gone in chronological order for Disc Two. The Katy Perry song is a bit of an odd inclusion when she's got a few more well remembered/regarded tracks, and they could've finished on 'Sorry' instead of 'Love Yourself' for Bieber though both were huge just to have an upbeat song to end on, but otherwise that is pretty solid for one disc of all the big classics. Likewise they should have used this as an opportunity to put in 'Shape Of You' for Ed.

Let’s hope that NOW 101 will go back to being 2 discs of current hits. NOW 100 should’ve been 3 discs
Christ this looks terrible. No Drake? They've also made Disc 2 way too modern, not the best balance of old and new

On the bright side, maybe this will mean we'll get less filler on the albums in future? Since the series is now behind 1 disc worth of current hits, will they just ignore some of the big songs that obviously should've been here (I Like It, Girls Like You, Freaky Friday, German, Lucid Dreams, Perfect, Nice For What, God's Plan, etc.) or will some of them be late additions to Now 101? Meaning 101 would then traditionally be behind and so on and so forth.

I reckon for 101 we'll go back to two discs of current hits but there'll be a few carry-overs that really should have been on 100 like Cardi B and Drake, which will help sell 101 over Christmas as there'll be less filler.

I just hope we don't get the American format of one disc only in the future.
