Me neither but this looks really good. :o

same here!!! the reviews have been promising too :yahoo:

I'm a big James Bond fan but I didnt like any of the Pierce Brosman films. I'm hoping this one will see a return to form.

Saw this tonight, and it was bloomin' fantastic!

would recommend to all!

Don't like the theme tune at all. All the great ones we've had for the other films, this is poor.

Truly dire... I was a big fan of Soundgardern back in the day, but Chris Cornell is NOT the man to be singing a Bond theme, he's lost it.... I mean, COME ON!!!! If you want to choose a male singer for a Bond theme - Morrissey, Jarvis Cocker, Neil Hannon..... To name but a few.....

Amy Winehouse has been snapped up to do the next bond theme

Awwww, jeeeeeeeez you're kidding me...... :puke2:

She's bloody awful... Did you see the stupid, drunk bint on "Buzzcocks" tonight...? Embarrassing....

Someone told me Bond's new car is a FORD MONDEO... please call me an idiot and tell me I'm wrong...

Who on Earth told you that...???  It's an Aston Martin DBS.....

Yeah, I got told it was a mondeo too  I told em they were havin a laugh!!

Mind you, it kinda looks a wee bit like a sodding Mondeo....  Trouble with modern car design these days is that they all kinda look the same - bland, no character or real creativity....

Bond drives the new ford mondeo in the opening act of the film whilst his regual car is the aston.

Ford has a deal with Eon productions which includes at this moment Aston Martin.

however as their market share is being ****ed up by Toyota (who are so rich/successful have just bought a % in Izusu to go with their % in fuji heavy industries) fords are thinking of selling aston to someone and so no doubt the next bond film will see bond in a GT40 or a new Jag (unless they sell that off too, and so he will be in a volvo like roger moore did in the saint   )

Speaking of the Ford deal...

I haven't seen the film yet (probably will this weekend), but some friends who saw it claimed the product placement was overt and obnoxious. They said Bond drives a Ford and an Aston, the villains drive Jags while Fods and Volvos swerve off the road during their chases. They said the camera constantly cuts to unnecessary closeups of Sony Vaio computers and Sony Erikson mobile phones. And does Bond really ask for Smirnoff vodka??

That all sounds like a bit too much.

I saw a clip of the scene where he's driving a Mondeo and it does look more like an advert for Ford rather than part of a film. Won't pass judgement yet though, I'm going to see it on Wednesday I think.

I agree with the first 2.,...imagine Morrissey.. "I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now' :P

This is the worst ever Bond theme tune, no doubt.... Goldfrapp would've done a sterling job.

It's an astoundingly bad song... Even within the context of the film it's still c**p.. Deffo the worst Bond theme ever IMO....

The film itself however (despite all the annoying product placements.. <_< ) is astoundingly good... Frankly, I didn't miss Q or Moneypenny at all (there's a nice play on words in the film that ensures that Moneypenny is there in spirit if nothing else... :) ) because what has repleced it is a leaner, tougher Bond and a much more prickly, tense Bond/M relationship. The pre-credits sequence is one of the best I've seen, out goes the 'jokiness' of the Moore/Brosnan years, and back comes the cold ruthlessness of Fleming's original creation.. THANK FUKK!!! The set-pieces are quite marvellously orchestrated, as good as any action film I've ever seen. I really hope director Malcolm Campbell stays on as director for the rest of Craig's tenure because they really seem to work well together.. As for Craig himself - the best Bond since Connery, and I am NOT kidding... He fits into the role like a hand in a leather glove, the guy can ACT.... The interplay between Bond and Vesper (Eva Green) is amongst the best I've ever seen in a Bond film, you really get a sense of the characters (this is due mainly to a quite excellent script..) and who they are as people, and this actually makes you give a damn about them... And villain Le Chiffre is a slow-burning volcano of menace that finally explodes during a pretty nasty torture sequence...

Is "Casino Royale" the best Bond film ever..? Nah, that honour will always be "Goldfinger's" it would seem, but this is easily the best Bond film since Connery hung up his hat for the first time.... It's been a long time coming, but finally we have a Bond film that matches up to the Connery years... Now, let's see if we can persuade Eon to do a remake of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"......

Praise indeed, Scott.... I'll go see it this coming weekend.
