As far as charisma and charm Brosnan was up there with Connery IMO.

I look forward to seeing Casino Royal, although I am not a huge 007 fan cause I always find them so predictable -_-

I do love my Bond, I've seen every one apart from the new one at least twice.

I went to see Casino Royale last night and it was definitely more action packed than the others, had lots of unpredictable twists and turns too. I'm not sure if it's up there with the best for me, but I enjoyed it very much.

However, the thing that happened when he was tied to a chair naked made me wince. :( It looked SO painful!

Finally seen Casino Royale! :D Yes, very good. It wasn't perfect, there were definately some flaws, but there were also some moments of brilliance as well which more than made up for that. I'd like to watch it again and I'm looking forward to seeing the next one as it's meant to be more like a "part 2" rather than a whole new film, which is good because I felt like there were a few loose ends. I loved at the end, M's final few words to Bond when she said "So you've learnt your lesson then." It seemed the perfect way to end the "first Bond" knowing what we already know.

And that's the 12A trimmed version.... When it comes out on '15' DVD it's gonna be worse....

I just loved Bond's reaction though... "You'll die with the whole world knowing you scratched my balls"....   Fukkin' LOVED IT!!! You'd never see Rog or Pierce come away with that line, Connery, possibly..... Moments like that just elevated over the past 20-odd years of Bond films and put it on another level....

I saw Casino Royale last night, and I thought it was brillaint.

Daniel Craig makes an excellent Bond (and hes as fit as....!!) and the story was relatively similar to that of the book (for the first time since OHMSS).

Excellent action pieces, good supporting cast (Judi Dench is fantastic).

The best Bond film since Goldeneye, imo.

He is an excellent Bond...

The scenes between Craig and Judi Dench just bristled with a tension and edge that just was not there with Dench and Brosnan (because Brosnan is such a fukkin' one-note actor, Judi didn't have a whole hell of a lot to work with...)

Best since "Goldeneye"??? It's miles better than that, or really any Bond film since "OHMSS" (in terms of the film itself and how it was adapted, Craig is planets ahead of Lazenby in terms of acting... ). In fact, wouldn't it be cool to have a remake of "OHMSS" with a real actor playing Bond instead of a joke....?

I thought the reason they did it (just to get a lower rating) was c**p... "Casino Royale" is NOT a kids' film with our without the whole torture scene... It's a more grown-up spy thriller in the vein of the "Bourne" films...

I'm a big fan of Goldeneye :D

And I would love to see Moonraker re-made as per the book, as I think thats the best Bond book.

I dont think Ian Fleming actually wrote "Moonraker", and if he did I don't imagine it bore any resemblance whatsoever to the film.....

To be honest, "Moonraker" is a kids' film, really... I look at it now and I just see how bloody crappy it really is, just a pretty obvious attempt to cash-in on the whole "Star Wars" phenomenon. Lasers, space battles, space ships...

He did write Moonraker, it was his 3rd book, after Casino Royale and Live And Let Die. The only things to survive from the book were Bond, M, The Rocket and the character of Hugo Drax.

The book is amazing, its the only Bond book based in England.

You know your James Bond stuff, Never Say Never Again is not part of the Bond franchise, the producers refuse to be associated with it.
