I remember 'Rockstar' feeling like a gigantic hit though, 'Sexy And I Know It' doesn't feel like it was a big enough song to deserve such a long chart run. (I actually like both of these songs btw, for my sins :P)

Lumineers - Ho Hey: This had 38 consecutive weeks in the Top 40, which I think at the time was the most for any single for over 50 years... and this was before streaming was counted, since when this sort of run became commonplace (until ACR came along anyway...)

 

Rihanna - Umbrella: I expected this to be higher up this list, but it probably burned out more quickly as physical sales were still very significant in the market in 2007/08...

 

New Order - Blue Monday: What a classic, and it had an epic chart run even before its remixes... don't expect there'll be many 80s songs higher up the list, except the Christmas ones of course :D
