Quite an story to hear about Anna Hursey the 11-year old school pupil and table tennis player who will be representing Wales.
I'll be watching the swimming and track cycling as well. I'll be watching coverage in the morning.
I really messed up this year as I'm away from Sunday to Friday next week so wont see as much of the games as I like, although hotel has TV but be out and about majority of the days grr
That was a great opening ceremony. How come they've sent Hazel Irvine to Australia when both she and Clare were in Salford for the Winter Olympics? Hazel has got to come back and do a 17-day stint in Sheffield straight after this.
Ben Proud DQ'd in the 50m fly for a twitch at start!

That was quite harsh in DQing Proud in the 50m fly. Chad Le Clos, his training partner that he shouldn't have been disqualified. That is bizarre.

England have won three golds in gymnastics, cycling and swimming with Max Whitlock helping his team win in the artistic gymnastics team final, Sophie Thornhill and pilot Helen Scott won gold in the blind and visually impaired (B&VI) sprint and Aimee Willmott in the 400m individual medley.

Wish the BBC would update the medal table. They put England top but with just 1 gold medal. They have since updated it, but not to add England or Scotland's gold medal, just to add 1 gold for Australia which now puts them top? what is going on?
Just caught up with the gymnastics... What a dominating performance from England! I suspect they're going to have a clean sweep of the Golds in AA and individual finals
A great day for the Archibald's as both Katie and John won medals in both of their 3km individual pursuit with Katie winning gold and John winning silver.

what a great throw from Nick Miller, good enough for Gold in many World Champs and Olympic Finals.

Great hammer competition overall, good to see it getting decent respect on the Red Button channel at least.
