Let’s hope drake doesn’t rule the charts with this sub par material . The sample is the only good thing about it.

God's Plan was really catchy I thought! I couldn't get it out of my head even though I didn't listen to it very much. New one is less catchy but I probably prefer it.

Also, and I appreciate this is a small sample size of a very specific demographic, but loads of people in Heaven on Saturday night knew the lyrics to "Dancing"

Is he though?

Well Drake is not very far ahead on spotify and looks like he might not get #1 this week. It is flopping slightly I would say. After God's Plan was so big, you would expect the hype for this new song to be big enough to get it a definitive debut at official #1.

I suppose though he is going against a huge viral hit in 'Freaky Friday' and God's Plan didn't really compete against anything in the charts so big, so maybe that's why the gap was bigger at #1 on spotify iirc.

I think flopping is a tad harsh, I wouldn't even say it is underpeforming really. I fully expect it to be another #01 for him

Sure not flopping, underperforming and flopping are different things

I actually think he's doing better than expected on itunes

and on spotify, it's hard to tell since spotify was frozen all weekend and it wasn't showing on the top 50, we'll get a better idea today/coming days

could also be that he's started slower than usual on spotify cos there is a YT video already this time, unlike with one dance etc

True. From the song numbers on the main page it's supposed to get around 6m update ww today which is almost 2m more than yesterday, no one knows how much it will be more in the UK but let's face it Spotify screwed him over for not showing the charts for 2 days and he wasn't on NMF of course and released a day after... And Apple music numbers must be big for him compared to the others, we'll see his numbers today. He can do easily 600k today.

Yes, I'm sure this song that set streaming records and spent over two months at #1 on both sides of the Atlantic (not to mention basically everywhere else as well) was just charting not because anyone liked it or thought it was catchy, but just because it was by Drake. That also explains how his last single before it did the same thing rather than missing the top 10 and meandering about the 20s for the rest of its brief run before disappearing to ACR.

If that is the case then why didn't Diplomatic Immunity emulate the same success? Im not a fan of most of his songs (except the Take Care Era) but I admit they do have a catchy element to it

Would the fact 'Nice For What' was instantly released on YouTube have an effect on his Spotify numbers? That was a big factor in the numbers behind 'One Dance', 'Gods Plan' and 'rockstar'.
Kylies Golden is on 37,500 and Dancing is no. 28 with streaming added (Tues)

What is The Greatest Showman on?

Lets go Kylie!

you need to stream Dancing! lol. going to just miss out on top 40 again this week unless you don't....... holding up well on ITunes at 21 but not being streamed enough. 3 days to hold up on 12 places......

I'm bored of "Dancing"; it's "Stop Me From Falling" I'm streaming regularly at the moment.
I can't @ people thinking that TGS could beat Kylie with those sales

Kylie fans are delusional even when they shouldn't

Interesting - I actually would say I prefer it to "Dancing", it's so euphoric, stands out somewhat among the many dreary chart hits we currently have!

Stop Me From Falling is excellent.

Picking up on iTunes at number 18 and gone from 0.045 to 0.12 popularity after yesterdays promo.

price will be dropped to 59p soon when Gente De Zona video/remix out.

Fingers crossed it can join Dancing in the Official top 75 this week.

0.12 popularity before Gente De Zona has even been added?!? Kylie’s coming for #1
