Tons of artists did. It wasn't up until the late '90s that Radio 1 made instant adds to the A-List more exclusive. B-)

 

You would think now we've went back to the oaos days they would make it more the norm again, like it isn't like Drake wouldn't have made the A list anyway so why not just let it enter at that point!

When was the last time a song got demoted on the playlist? Happens a lot on radio 2 but hasn't been as common on radio 1 since oaos came into being again. Used to happen a bit in the early 2000s i remember!

I have a feeling it’s was Lady Gaga - Perfect Illusion. I think it was insta added to B List and then when they realised how badly it was going they demoted it to the C List. Someone else would be able to confirm this though.

It was definitely more of a normal occurrence between 1996-2000 if I remember correctly!
