November 3, 200618 yr You're so right Twinkle and Aeon, it actually looked SO set up, it was the worst case of flagrant backslapping self promotion of presenting, performing, and award receiving I have ever watched at an award show, and I though Edinburgh was bad. It was a pleasure to turn it off.
November 3, 200618 yr Author Never tuned in once for the show and it turned out exactly as I knew it would. An evening of MTV crawling up the backside of the US stars, first and foremost JT of course. Without having seen it it still makes me :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:
November 3, 200618 yr I read somewhere that the MTV Europe awards are also shown on US television at some point. And US viewers won't watch unless the show is dominated by US stars. Maybe it's all a 'Ratings' ploy?

November 3, 200618 yr I have just watched a news clip. I think it was Channel 4 and they said MTV Award Fix was it that obvious? It was really so blantantly geared up for the US market and their stars that it is obscene. How come Robbie did not feature, when he had the biggest selling tour, his album happens to be No.1 in Copenhagen, Denmark, where the MTV show was being screened from and Robbie's album is No.1 in most of the European countries and on top of that I have been reading a few German sites that they spent hours and days voting for Robbie. I bet you any money that they don't count any votes at all. It makes me sick. and our bloody country goes along with it. Edited November 3, 200618 yr by Jackie
November 3, 200618 yr My suspicions were raised by the fact the website let you vote again and again and again. You didn't even need to register or even leave the bloody screen to re-vote. Click Click Click. It crossed my mind that no 'proper' vote would ever let you do that. But then if it was already decided why would that be a problem? And 'The Kooks' winning best UK/Ireland act? How many albums have they sold then?

Click Click Click. It crossed my mind that no 'proper' vote would ever let you do that. But then if it was already decided why would that be a problem? Probably that was made to tease us. I bet they were laughing their heads off, going something like "Those silly RW fans are voting again and again - although JT is going to get this award anyway" :puke2: :arrr:

November 4, 200618 yr What I cannot get over is the way it came across, it looked so fixed, they didn't even act it out well.
November 4, 200618 yr What I cannot get over is the way it came across, it looked so fixed, they didn't even act it out well. Yes, that's right... <_< This is the worst awards show back in years... :puke2:
November 4, 200618 yr We really should all have put £100 on at the Bookies for JT to win both awards. <_<
November 4, 200618 yr Hey people, tonight JT was in German show Wetten Dass... and I think that they ask him about Robbie new album, but I didn't understand what he said because they put German translation over his voice... <_< Edited November 4, 200618 yr by Nada
