Which is the best vinyl to get for audio quality, clear, picture disc or silver vinyl?

Is there any news about her releasing the vinyl as a gatefold or in a proper cardboard sleeve?

Thanks in advance :)

I've only got the Picture Disc which sounds fairly decent. Can't comment on the other versions as I don't have them but traditionally Picture Discs have lower quality sound.

Don't think there's any plans to re-release the vinyl in a sleeve - some fans have made their own from an online service which is probably your best bet!

It's a silly move to not release it tbh. I know there have been debates about Gaga's workload herself, but this isn't even related to her - it's her team that can get this produced! My only reason for it not being with us atm is because they are saving it for some sort of deluxe/expanded edition and then wanting to release that on full vinyl format - but with each passing day that seems less and less likely

It seems like it was such a fun process to create the interludes. They really help make the album a total journey that has to be heard from start to end.

Love that! I remember it being on Twitter a while ago and it makes me think of how epic the Chromatica tour could be because YOU KNOW she's going to come out as some giant doll for it with crazy pyrotechnics or something :'(
I can think of several on ARTPOP that are worse for a start.

Why do you think even Gaga doesn't remember this album? :neyde:

This really deserved to be her renaissance era where she returned to DOMINATING the pop skyline. I understand that COVID pretty much f*cked that for her, but acts like Dua/Harry have managed to maintain huge album campaigns despite all the goings-on.

Free Woman, Sour Candy, Sine From Above, Alice, Babylon, Fun Tonite... there’s so much untapped single potential. I really thought that when Chromatica was released it would go on to be bigger/sell more than ARTPOP, but eight months later it’s struggling to catch up with even Joanne. A solid performance by the standards of today’s sales climate, a huge underperformance in terms of what I feel her second-best album DESERVES.

I think people are just streaming The Fame and ASIB instead (and BTW is increasing in streams too). Her overall streams are brilliant.

Of course the album deserves more attention, but one can't force people to stream 911 instead of Shallow.

I think the low Youtube numbers of the iconic video that is 911 have been a factor and she is moving on to next projects.

The era has been a great success! Sure not as high numbers as Dua or Harry but (and this is by NO MEANS SHADE TO THEM because I love them both) but neither of those did the things Gaga managed to do last year such as the Together At Home concert and the $35 million raised from that, or the huge support she gave to companies during the BLM movement or the support she gave to the Biden campaign and getting young (and old) people to mobilise and vote with their voices being heard and I could go on.

As I always say, at this stage in her career whether her album sells 100k or 200k is meaningless in the grand scheme of the legacy she is continuing to pave out.

Of course we'd all want bigger numbers, but in 10 years I will look back on the Chromatica era as a success because songs like Rain On Me exist, videos such as 911 exist, the VMAs night exists, the #1s exist and the decent album sales are there too!

Also, it's very different to have the second solo album out than the 6th (with a soundtrack and a jazz album added to it).

Sour Candy MV excluded, lengthening the era is nothing but fan service IMO. We'll see if she decides to do something or not. I mean Joanne (the single) exists so she might have something in her sleeve still.

I underestimated Plastic Doll at first, but it's a hidden gem. Still not the best the track on the album, but better than first listen would suggest.
