It looks like we're in for some FASHION throughout the Chromatica era.

Nicola Formichetti on working with Gaga again

"The idea of these groups continues throughout the album cycle. I want to bring back the sex and the edginess of her with materials like latex and leather and spikes and studs and mix them with couture."

"I'm very proud of it because while it's fun and celebratory, if you listen to those lyrics, you really will know my heart. It's like the music is giving you permission to go on. Even if you've had the worst day ever, it's OK to dance."

As of now, Gaga still intends to follow through with her plans to support the album with a six-city tour, The Chromatica Ball, kicking off at the end of July. Should the concerts come to pass, plan to wear your dancing shoes. Whereas her previous release, Joanne, was a folk-tinged album for dive bars, Chromatica is a return to Gaga in her purest pop form. At a preview listening, the swell of the first few notes was an instant stress reliever, as if long-lost tracks from the "Paparazzi" era had just been found, polished up, and newly released. It’s her original sound with a grown-up twist.

omg I got chills just reading that.

I think how awful this year currently is and the thought of her album coming potentially sometime over the summer/when the world is hopefully in a better place really is such a shining light

I feel like Ariana and BLACKPINK are enough but Ty Dollar Sign is credited on another track supposedly, unless it's just for writing/production credits.

But to be fair each album has had some sort of feature (apart from BTW):

The Fame: 2 (Colby O'Donis, Flo Rida)

The Fame Monster: 1 (Beyonce)

Born This Way: 0

ARTPOP: 4 (T.I, Too Short, Twist and R.Kelly yuck)

Joanne: 1 (Florence Welch)

Let's not forget about C2C and ASIB which are collaboration albums, so I'm sure there will be at least 1 collaboration (Ariana is 99.9% legit). Hopefully more as long as the album isn't swamped with features. Still, she does always bring out the best in other performers so whatever we're in for, it will be quality content.

It's so weird to think we'd be getting this in 48 hours if things were as normal :o

Not gonna lie, I'm now kinda glad its been pushed back. The thought of blasting a brand new Gaga album over the summer months is so lush

I seen someone on Twitter say that Free Woman and Rain On Me are the same song!

No idea what to believe.

A single on Friday would be lovely though and if she performs it next week on the televised event

Also just realised today is good Friday eve. This really could’ve been our last full day before Gagas new pop album changed our lives forever

Tbh I don’t think it is Rain On Me. Although if the Ariana track already has a video I’d love that to get pushed as a pre album single but tactically maybe she wants a post album smash and knows she’ll get one with that so she’s opting for another solo release. Who knows.

Ah that quote calling it proper old school Gaga has me so buzzing! This really seems to be the year of great pop revival

I definitely agree, I don't feel ready for the album yet and the more build up and suspense for it just makes me more excited. A longer era won't hurt either after the last couple were fairly short

I think they'll want to save Rain On Me for a week before the album to capitalise on the collab and video (apparently being a high budget video). Why not release another solo effort while we wait for all of this to pass. Also releasing it on the day the album was initially meant to be released would be a cute idea and soften the blow for fans.
