“Yes, we finished our new album two weeks ago. We’ve been talking about it, but haven’t played anything. We rehearsed our new single because we’re going to play it on tour then it’s not coming out until a couple of weeks after this all finishes, annoyingly. So I don’t know. I thought it would be a bit weird to premiere a new song with an orchestra because it would just make the real one sound rubbish.”

ReOrchestrated tour is over now, so a single should be coming soon! Mid-May I hope but we'll see soon enough

Wild World has become one of my favourite albums of all time, so hopefully the next album will be even better!

"Wild World" over "Bad Blood" really? :o

Excited nevertheless! As long as it's not all watered down like "I Know You" anyway

I LOVE Bad Blood but I go back to Wild World much more :P Pompeii & Flaws are flawless but most of the BB album tracks I can easily live without, whereas WW only has Two Evils which I generally skip! Maybe that’s partly due to me spamming Wild World on its release (and for the years following) instead of just spamming Pompeii like I did through all of 2013

I also read they might be releasing a live album/footage of the ReOrchestrated tour, just a rumour so far I think but I don’t see why they wouldn’t

Nice use of 'flawless' there Dexton :P

But omg come on, what about "Icarus", "Laura Palmer", "The Things We Lost In The Fire"

I also prefer Wild World to Bad Blood, although both are 11/10. They have aged pretty well too, I still listen to them.

Warmth, Send Them Off, Blame

We need a poll

Surely I can't be the only one... I mean both are good but "Bad Blood" was epic

Tbh the 'All This Bad Blood' version is my favourite album ever, so I'd have to agree with you! 'Wild World' was amazing too though, both are in my top 5 ever.

I know i'm gonna be in the minority but for me the 2nd album was disappointing and one of the biggest 2nd album slumps in recent years

personally it didn't live up to the expectations of the debut and i didn't like any song,

on the 1st album, half the songs were classics, Flaws, Pompeii, Overjoyed, Bad blood, Laura Palmer, Things we lost...

album 2 didn't reach the standards of the first effort

I loved both albums really, Bad Blood still edges it for me slightly but mostly because I still know it better, Send Them Off is SUCH a tune though and might be my favourite song from them now. Looking forward to hearing new material anyway!

Revisiting old tracks isn’t the only thing that Bastille have been working on over the past few months. There’s the small matter of a new album on the horizon, too. “It’s completely finished,” the frontman confirms. “I think [with second album ‘Wild World’]we were trying to acknowledge how complicated the world seems and do a record that was reacting to that. [That] was more trying to articulate how weird it’s been for everybody to just switch the news on and see awful things happening in the world. I feel like when we released that, we were on the precipice of what is now becoming unfortunately even more normal.

“Getting into that headspace is something that everyone experiences – anyone who chooses remotely to read the news is gonna have an exposure to that feeling – but we perhaps went down that path a bit too much. The point of some of those songs was to try to capture that feeling” - that nagging feeling of hopelessness - “and look at the other moments in life that hopefully massively outweigh the bad stuff. On this new record, it’s very much still set in that world, but we wanted to make something a bit more intimate and personal.” Set to be more of a “night time record”, LP3 will “chart the course of quite a small period of time.”

“With this record we want to make something that was way more cohesive,” he adds. “It’s shorter and there’s a slight throwback feel to some of the songs. It’s almost like the apocalypse is happening outside but, for a minute, shutting the curtains to that and enjoying what you’ve got for a second, which I think is a completely valid and sane thing to do.

Possibly more hyped for this than I was for The Killers/Justin Timberlakes comeback *.*
