April 30, 20187 yr Not if the media stopped its brainwashing and smears There are a lot of people who will always vote Conservative, not because they are 'brainwashed', but because they genuinely believe that they and/or the country will be better off financially with a Tory Government, no matter how badly they f*ck-up. That is something you need to grasp, or your understanding of UK politics will remain skewed. Edited April 30, 20187 yr by vidcapper

April 30, 20187 yr ? Labour are vilified and Conservatives are presented as this wonderful party by the BBC and media and Murdoch press. Reverse the roles and Tories would be destroyed as they only represent the rich.
April 30, 20187 yr There are a lot of people who will always vote Conservative, not because they are 'brainwashed', but because they genuinely believe that they and/or the country will be better off financially with a Tory Government, no matter how badly they f*ck-up. That is something you need to grasp, or your understanding of UK politics will remain skewed. And it is this perception that they have that they vote, continually, without retracting their vote given if the person one elects does mess up, for a group of people who are completely incompetent but are hiding behind a name that likes to project itself as a safe pair of hands when it couldn't be further from the truth right now. Voting for any party unconditionally in a political system is like total brand loyalty in a capitalist system, completely nonsensical unless you have a stake in the entity. Yes, these people exist, but that's more an indictment of their lack of critically rating those acting on their behalf in politics and willingness to be led down the path they have self-reinforced to themselves is the right one.

Reverse the roles and Tories would be destroyed as they only represent the rich. Come on Michael, this is complete rubbish. Both the right and left think the BBC is either Pro-Labour or Pro-Tory, the fact that both sides argue over it so much just proves that it is about as impartial as you come when presenting broadcasts. Both the Labour and the Conservative party are a complete mess. Rudd rightly has gone as she screwed up massively and May is proving herself to be a weak leader. It's pretty much apples and oranges.

Wrong. The right attack the BBC to fill it with its people. There are studies on this. Their protests are ridiculous and false. The BBC is extremely right wing at the moment. How you can even COMPARE the Landed Gentry stooges of the rich to Labour. I do not know. One is privatising the NHS. One wipes what a fourth was it from our GDP as it um just disappeared. Oops. One is a party of fat cats and posh old boys. The other is the party trying to reverse the MASSIVE TORY DAMAGE the Landed Gentry have caused. There is NO comparison. That is so even if the BBC attacks Abort for a diabetic mix up of numbers after her fourth interview of he day, whilst ignoring concurrent Tory gaffes because, you know, IMPARTIAL. #BBTORY

Give examples of political bias or stop repeating the same old momentum mantra. It is the job of media to croticise all politicians but also to give them a right to reply. Corbyn chooses not to engage because he knows he will look as hypocritical as he is. The tory gaffes and hacking of the nhs are constant media stories, how else do we get to get some action on windrush? Through corbyn and momentum stading up for british citizens? f*** no, its david lammy doing the job of the labour party who refuse to acknowledge its own shortcomongs abd blame the media instead. This is what trump says to undermine truth and blame others. Corbyn gets criticism because he is a poor leader. May is an appalling leader and human being. Both need calling out till they knuckle down and start acting like decent tolerant human beings.
May 1, 20187 yr Sajid Javid new Home Secretary And suddenly the sun online comments section is awash with deleted comments as racist coments flood in....
May 1, 20187 yr Well seeing as every post I make with examples gets deleted... It's like being interviewed by Tory Nick and Laura themselves!

May 1, 20187 yr Labour and the Tories fall from the same tree. It’s just the apples that are different.

Like I said earlier, the both sides of the fence think it's biased to each side so in my mind that means it's doing it's job as sitting on the fence and reporting news rather than a journalists or a corporation's opinion. On the latter point, I am sure I have seen the BBC report gaffs for both the Labour and Conversative parties recently. We should be thankful we even have the BBC!
May 1, 20187 yr We should get rid of it. It is a Tory platform now. It is completely biased. How is it a Tory platform? What because it calls out Labour gaffs for what they are? Their coverage of Windrush has been pretty damning. It can't be helped that the Shadow opposition is so weak and unfit to challenge the current government, let alone lead the country that journalists are highlighting what is happening. These people could soon be running the country, it would be reported exactly the same if the Shadow was Blue.
May 1, 20187 yr Author Most of the time the BBC tries to be impartial. Sometimes they can be accused of taking that too far. For example, in the referendum campaign, they reported the £350m per week claim without examining it in any detail. Therefor, people could be forgiven for accepting it as fact. Since the referendum, however, they seem to have allowed government ministers to spout all sorts of nonsense without challenge. This got so bad on the Today programme that I gave up listening to it. John Humphrys, in particular, gave free rein to ministers while barely allowing others to get through the words "Good morning" without interruption.. Similarly, a few days Gove was trying to defend Amber Rudd by dismissing her lies as "a mistake". If that had been a Labour minister ten years ago, Humphreys would have torn them to shreds. Gove wasn't challenged.

May 1, 20187 yr We should get rid of it. It is a Tory platform now. It is completely biased. Still not giving examples. I gave you examples they were unbiased on a random day..... Heres another one - almost all comedians on the bbc and channel 4 are left wing. View mock the week, have i gotnews for you, 8 out if 10 cats etc etc very few are right leaning. Thats no because the tv companies are lefties its because for the most part they are smart and know whats funny and just while right leaning ones arent. But the comedy evidence suggests the bbc is anti tory - except they also have a go at all political parties whetever they deserve it. Try watching one and join in laughs
