To save people from having to scroll for 16 minutes on page 1 here is the quoted post:

I made a searchable sheet with all the songs of BJSC (1 through 137) to help myself look through what songs/artists have been entered, country history etc and thought I'd share it here in case anyone else wants to use it. I also have a second sheet in there where all the countries are listed with some stats. I made a pts system where qualified countries get points based on how many songs are in the final and in the second sheet they're all ranked by total pts with some extra stats. FYI Anyone can view and leave a comment but I'm the only one who can update the sheet :)

 

If anyone spots any countries in the country list that are listed twice (under two or more different names) pls let me know. I've got no idea which countries have changed names in the past.

The google sheet has now been updated to include the results of BJSC 137 :)

I managed to break the OP of this thread somehow when updating it last night :ph34r: but was able to fix it, I have had to rejig which letters are in which post though as I think it was just that the first post had become too long. (Still able to fit the songs into the same number of posts for now though)

Any chance of another update soon please Bré? ^_^

Looking at the list and then searching the forum, I found that one not so unknown artist (at least judging by the number of views on YouTube) has never appeared on this forum anywhere. Is it then allowed to send him regardless of the large number of views?

You're always allowed to try, occasionally very popular artists who quite probably are mostly known in their domestic market or otherwise not well known in the UK turn up in the contest. YOASOBI's 'Yoru Ni Kakeru' is my favourite example of this, smashed the streaming records in Japan before being sent here, no one really called it out for being cheap as only a handful of us pay attention to Japan charts, and then I as one of those had to helplessly watch it not qualify from the other semi.

The mods would make a judgement call after research, so it could be vetoed, but you'd have the opportunity to submit a replacement. If they've never been mentioned on this forum then, obviously depends, but that may be fine.

I saw somewhere that someone had posted (or maybe it just seemed to me) a list of countries with the forum members behind them, but now I can’t find it.

There is a list somewhere but it's very out of date. I'll endeavour to post an up to date list for the countries in this contest in the near future x
