Those results were amazing! Happy for Netta and Israel even though I voted for Cyprus (and poor brave Jess).

Won a bit more money on Denmark finishing top ten (yassss at the public reception to that!) giving me a profit of a whopping £1.50 this year overall!

How are you doing my friend? Its been a long time :)

Eesh at Macedonia, that's so poor for them. Romania so close is heartbreaking but given it would have knocked out Hungary I'm not sure I'd have wanted it to be the other way. Serbia should have been out.

Norway getting the accolade of worst performing semi winner! HA! :D Though surprising given how much the odds fell when he did perform.

Macedonia deserved BETTER.

The song, massively!

The performance got what it deserved, though!

Well done on your winnings

Damn the twitter comments on Israel winning are scathing. At least in response to the british news feeds.

I noticed that. Seems like they also wanted Cyprus to win. :(

I’m good! It has! How are you doing?

Well done on your winnings

Thank you, so happy, I’m not sure what to do with them all!

I still maintain that "Don't Come Easy" was a decent song on the studio version, but yeah it deserved its televote based on the live performance.

Dami absolutely slayed - one of my favourite performances at Eurovision of ALL TIME.

Can she just like, come back next year please?

Yeah the studio is alright, that live vocal was Sarah Hardling levels of tragic

Dami still gives me goosebumps. Being in the arena for that SF performance was such an incredible experience.

18. Georgia (24 points)

WTF happened to Australia?! Looks like the weak semi perhaps inflated a few scores there.

Thrilled San Marino beat someone and Slovenia qualified fairly comfortably in the end.

Thanks Cyprus for the 66/1 each-way back in April for a 25p e/w bet.

Eleni didn't look that impressed in losing.

So looking at those results in more detail.

- Right top 2, those were fantastically performed songs, I'd have given the edge to Fuego but Toy is certainly not a bad winner and far better than last year.

- Austria in 3rd is so weird. I've always said it's a competently performed pop song but it was some way off being the third-best song of the night. Same for the rest of the top 5, it's nice to see Germany doing well again but it's such a bore of a song and Italy in 5th is the most out of nowhere undeserving performance of the night, it felt so flat after Fuego.

- Good rest of the top 10, Rasmussen getting top 10 is really surprising given how weak it was performed and Czechia getting their best ever result is cool to see but not with their best song ever, but Moldova, Estonia and Sweden well deserved their success. Albania, Lithuania, France and Bulgaria make up a good set of songs just missing the top 10, Bulgaria lost their top 10 or bust streak but I guess that was on the cards. I would have called most of those in the top 10 though.

- BYE NORWAY.

- Ireland getting a midtable result as I predicted, about the only thing that I predicted kind of right.

- Ukraine clearly got massively sabotaged by being on first, that could have been an easy top 10 had it been 10 songs later.

- Netherlands, Serbia and Australia all did decent but Jess got massively sabotaged by that televote last, I don't think she deserved that.

- Hungary bump up against the current ceiling for melodic death metal then, good considering how it scraped through the semis but it's a shame that said ceiling has gotten so low, that would have been top 10 ten years ago :(

- Fairly predictable bottom 5 although I did think Saara might have done more. Surie had a great performance but the song just wasn't there for us. We need to be better at selecting those.

A superb top 2 and I'd have been happy either way  So thrilled at the brilliant placing for Germany too, I had hoped it would catch on like it did, a superb song performed brilliantly. Sweden in the top 10 is great (though its televote result disappointed me) and I can't really complain at the UK result when I expected worse! Had hoped Ireland would do better but it was pleasing for it to make it through the semis so I won't complain.
still reeling from Australia coming last in the televote? that seriously can not be right?!

Same with Portugal
