Posted May 19, 20187 yr I did a topic like this two years ago, but with several new hits and time for hits like ‘Work’ to bed in was interested to see what people would say to it today ~ What songs of Rihanna’s would you say are classics, not amongst the fanbase or your own personal opinion but for the General public? I’d say (talking UK terms): Definitely classics Umbrella Only Girl We Found Love Diamonds Bordering on classics Take A Bow Rude Boy Love The Way You Lie Don’t Stop The Music What’s My Name? Stay Work This Is What You Came For Maybe ‘Disturbia’ could be in the bordering category but I’m not too sure about that. There are so many other songs by her that should be classics :(
May 21, 20187 yr I'd say the classics are 'Umbrella', 'Rude Boy', 'We Found Love', 'Diamonds' and 'Stay'.
May 21, 20187 yr Definitely Umbrella, We Found Love and Only Girl, certainly Work in terms of songs you hear out still gets played LOADS!
May 21, 20187 yr "Pon de Replay" and "SOS" would definitely be regarded as mid-noughties classics I think! "We Found Love", "Diamonds" and "Umbrella" are probably her three most universally-recognised songs. In terms of collabs, "All of the Lights" and "Take Care" are probably most recognisable with "Love the Way You Lie" also due to its huge impact at the time, although I don't hear it very much any more. "Bitch Better Have My Money" has to have some recognition I think! Could go down as a future classic.
