Have we established if Calvin + Dua would have stayed at #1 if not for ACR? (Or do we need to wait for the official figures to be revealed?)

They'd almost definitely still be #1!

I feel like I'm getting a second wind with "One Kiss" now; loving it again after having gotten bored.

Come on Scott, explain ACR to listeners please.

If Posty did an actual video for this, it could have a shot at #1. Doing very well on streams right now!

Biography

Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993), known professionally as Ariana Grande (/ˌɑːriˈɑːnə ˈɡrɑːndeɪ/), is an American singer and actress. She began her career in 2008 in the Broadway musical 13, before playing the role of Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series Victorious, and in the spinoff Sam & Cat until 2014. She is best known for her subsequent music career, including hit singles such as "Problem", "Bang Bang", and "Side to Side", and albums such as My Everything (2014) and Dangerous Woman (2016).

Grande's music career began in 2011 with the soundtrack Music from Victorious. In 2013, she released her first studio album Yours Truly, which entered atop the US Billboard 200. The album's lead single, "The Way", opened in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, with critics comparing her wide vocal range to that of Mariah Carey.

Grande's second studio album, My Everything (2014), entered at number one in the US and charted in the top 10 in 24 other countries. With the lead single "Problem" and several other singles, she was continuously in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for 34 weeks and had the most top 10 singles of any artist in 2014. The next year, Grande gave her first world tour, The Honeymoon Tour, to promote My Everything. In 2016, she released her third studio album Dangerous Woman, which charted at number two on the Billboard 200. The title track debuted at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Grande the first person in the history of that chart to have the lead singles from each of their first three albums debut within the top 10 in the US. In 2017, Grande gave her international Dangerous Woman Tour and became the most searched musical artist of the year, in part because of a terrorist attack that took place at her Manchester concert.

As of April 2018, Grande's music videos had been viewed a total of more than nine billion times online. Her accolades include three American Music Awards, three MTV Europe Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award and four Grammy Award nominations. All three of her albums have been certified platinum by the RIAA. She has supported a range of charities and has a large following on social media. In 2016, Time named Grande one of the 100 most influential people in the world on their annual list. - Wikipedia

Its called ACR ;)
That throws out my theory that the World Cup killed 'Answerphone' because everyone's too busy watching it to talk to answerphones at the moment :o
Post Malone's songs have vastly improved since Rockstar, I still can't stand that song!

Wholeheartedly agree...

Ariana still top 5, shame this couldn't have been the one benefiting from ACR with a number 1.

Just imagine if What Now by Rihanna was used on an ITV promo during prime time TV?!?

Biography

Hertford-reared, Bristol-based singer/songwriter George Ezra possesses a deep, resonant, and emotionally weathered voice that belies his considerable youth. Influenced by similarly precocious troubadours like Bob Dylan and Hank Williams, Ezra was just 19 when he issued his debut single, "Budapest," a warm, amiable, and soulful slice of classy folk-pop that invoked names like Willy Mason, Ben Howard, Ray LaMontagne, and Tom Odell. That song, along with three others, appeared on his 2013 debut EP, Did You Hear the Rain? Increased touring and an appearance at Glastonbury preceded his second EP, Cassy O', which arrived in early 2014. "Budapest" was re-released in June of that year, followed a few weeks later by Ezra's debut LP, Wanted on Voyage. The album entered the U.K. charts at number three and eventually climbed into the top spot by year's end, earning him four Brit Award nominations and a North American tour supporting Sam Smith in early 2015. During this period he made his American television debut with appearances on Saturday Night Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, increasing his exposure. In April 2017, Ezra announced a "top secret" U.K. tour, during which he would debut new material. It was accompanied by the release of "Don't Matter Now," the lead single from his follow-up LP. A second single, "Paradise," was released in January 2018 followed by the announcement that Ezra's second album, Staying at Tamara's, would arrive in March of that year. - iTunes

George Ezra is painfully overrated!! This song grates on me so much, as does Leave a Light On :puke2: at least we have a good top 2..

The BBC Radio 1 Official Chart Show sounds really different than last week - the music bed is changed to reflect today’s music lifestyles, and there is more interactivity between the presenter (Scott Mills) and the artists/BBC Radio 1 listeners. Ella Eyre and the two members of 5SOS taking part of the Official Chart Show are my favourite parts.

I heard 5SOS mentioned to Scott that they would love their song Youngblood to be #1, which I think that can be more exciting with lots of hype if they can actually make it. The UK charts haven’t had a #1 song by a band/group since Little Mix last year or two I think.

I was expecting One Kiss to be yet another #1 this week, but turns out there’s a drop occurred recently for that Calvin and Dua track, so there’s a breathe of fresh air for three acts - Jess, Anne-Marie and Clean Bandit/Demi - to be at #1 this week.

Glad to see Drake’s ‘Nice For What’ having a big drop, big gains for 5SOS and Maroon 5, and Ariana and George still in the top 5. So it looks like the UK charts this week is going to be more exciting.
