August 29, 20186 yr I agree, overall it was a better episode somehow! The van and the car shooting was once again edge of the seat stuff! Only problem is that I really rolled my eyes at them getting together, just felt out of place, particularly on his part. I agree totally, them two getting together while although inevitable it just spoilt the episode for me. That said, I'm glad it happened in episode 2 rather than them drawing it out for a couple of episodes. Can only hope he's doing it to gain her trust before he offs here.. one thing for sure, that gun that's been shown twice now is going to come back in to play at some point.
August 29, 20186 yr Cliche as the shag in episode 2 is, those first two episodes have snatched me all the way bald. Very much looking forward to Episode 3!
September 2, 20186 yr I found episode 3 quite boring up until the final act.. but wow. Personally for me, I think Budd knew there was a bomb in the briefcase and let the bomb go up there.
September 4, 20186 yr Isn't that what we're supposed to be thinking? I'm not sure who is on what side at all. I couldn't even properly work out if the bomb was in the briefcase or whether it was being carried by the policewoman who ran up. I also couldn't really tell if the guy in the wings was actually the same guy from outside the room, why did it just not show us him? I do agree with Roo that the episode was significantly less exciting than the first two - ending aside.
September 5, 20186 yr It was less eventful but tbf every episode can't be at 100, we need some breathers too. I agree it's hard working out who is on what side atm  I guess we'll find out soon enough!
September 10, 20186 yr Loved episode four. I still have no idea what is going on or who is in what side but it’s very tense. the moment in the flat!!! I love that the show leaves you uncertain and messes with your expectations of what would usually happen in a tv story
September 10, 20186 yr Author lthe bit in the flat I was thinking surely it’s can’t go that far as to lose their two leads with two episodes still to go! The programme had centred around both but I couldn’t think how they would get out of hus ‘death’ unless it was a dream. Thankfully it wasn’t!! Part of me doesn’t fully believe Keely Hawes death either but then that would be even more of a reach for her to still be alive I guess, they might just be pretending as part of some massive investigation/trap/plan. This episode felt the most Line of Duty yet with the death and fake out death and of course TWO epic interrogation scenes!
September 10, 20186 yr So many twists this episode! It was too much to handle at times...Julia's death was so unexpected!! I never thought they'd kill off one of their leads in episode 4. Part of me thinks someone may have helped her fake her death after that attack? But that's probably just wishful thinking...
September 10, 20186 yr Seems to me like the government are taking advantage of the fear of terrorism to put forward Their own agenda!
September 10, 20186 yr Personally I think Julia is dead. I mean I can understand people saying she might be faking her own death, but her death actually adds more weight to the plot if you think about MI5 vs the Police and the acting Home Secretary. They all have their own agendas. The two big things for me were who switched the bullets and what's that USB stick he also had hidden? I wonder if we might actually be being lied to a bit as a viewer and see some of these actions actually being orchestrated by Budd himself and his PTSD.
September 13, 20186 yr I've caught up with this over the last couple nights. I'm now wishing I'd held back for longer so I didn't have to wait for the final two episodes!
September 13, 20186 yr I'm wondering if David and Andy's time in Afghanistan will be brought into the remaining episodes, might be a back story/connection there.
September 16, 20186 yr I feel like this week was the calm before the storm in the finale...still so many questions!!
September 18, 20186 yr I wonder if we will get an unexpected return for Keeley Hawes, unlikely as it sounds.
September 19, 20186 yr According to IMDb she’s supposed to be in 4 episodes but last appeared in episode 3...
September 23, 20186 yr I'm going to guess that it is something to do with David's wife's new partner. After all, we've never seem him (or her) unless it is one of the other characters. The sudden re-appeasnace of Chanel last week is surely significant in some way. Not so much a spoiler, more of a guess but I've put it in spoiler tags anyway.

Yes that's what me and my other half were saying too. There's been too many mentions of the new partner for it not to be significant. But it has to be someone we already know for it to be a big reveal, and that narrows the candidates down significantly.
September 23, 20186 yr Author omg this finale is going to be even tenser than i thought How is that possible
