A bit of an odd non-league story this one. A fan of National League North team Blyth Spartans has noticed an advert in their stadium for a rather...interesting travel opportunity -

Haha that's class!!

Always enjoy the Irish League advertising boards which go from the religious to Sean Graham Bookies First For Football!!

Chesterfield have banned a supporter for 10 years and two others for three years.

Visiting Ebbsfleet goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore appeared to be attacked by a fan on Saturday after the Spireites scored a late equaliser in a 3-3 draw.

  • 2 weeks later...
After 30 games, the top ten in the National League are still separated by only 11 points!

Leyton Orient as good as up with being three points clear from Solihull Moors and Salford City at the top of the league.

They should make it as they are playing one of the teams already relegated. However, if they cock up, the gap in goal difference is fairly small.

Pretty annoying how only 2 teams go up from the national league premiership!
Indeed it is, although I like how they include six teams for the playoffs.
Yeh I noticed that at the weekend, would have fathered anyone but LO up as they are a big club, someone like Solihull haven't been in the league yet I don't think?

Solihull Moors are a relatively new club, formed by the merger of Moor Green and Solihull. They spent most of last season bottom of the table. If they go up, they will effectively have done a Leicester.

Makes me look forward to the playoffs even more. Although Salford are new they remind me a bit of MK Dons as there's a lot of tv behind them!

National League South club Concord Rangers will not be permitted a play-off place after failing to meet ground grading requirements.

Concord, currently in sixth with a game to play, are required to provide 500 covered seats under competition rules.

The Essex club say they have given the league assurances the seats will be in place for next season.

Only five teams will contest the play-offs instead of six with Concord being placed in a notional seventh position.

Whichever side finishes fourth, currently Chelmsford City, will receive a bye into the semi-finals and face the winner of an eliminator being played on Wednesday.

National League play-off rules do not permit any clubs finishing below seventh place to participate preventing the eighth-placed team from qualifying.

And Woking v Welling in the Conference South final. As a former Woking season ticket holder, I will obviously be hoping for them to get back up at the first attempt. They were 2-0 down with only about 15 minutes to play today yet came back to win 3-2 without the need for extra time.
I was watching Salford and Eastleigh yesterday, really gutted to see Eastleigh lose on penalties.
