I was going to say that this gives me Eurovision, actually! But I think it would place in the 20s, not 32nd xx

 

It’s a nice song, a change of pace compared to previous songs. She sounds strong in a lower register!

I am surprised Claire didnt go for Eurovision in the years steps wernt together. Maybe she will in the future.

Shame on you is a bop but for some strange reason when i listen to it i always think the song would be better suited to Lisa than Claire.

Yes, I like Shame on you. I do think I enjoy uplifting/dancey Claire more. Also, the album needed some more power at this point otherwise I’d check out. Not to bash it, it’s just a bit too save this far.

Put your lighters in the air for Ruins. It sounds like another song that I can’t recall right now. A bit boring..

Ruins,slows the album back down again after a bit of uptempo, not bad but not the best on the album either.

Yes this song is an “expected” sound, blah blah, but Claire certainly knows what suits her vocals, and this chorus is gorgeous! If it was a Celine song it would have stood out on her most recent album.
