Yes this song is an “expected” sound, blah blah, but Claire certainly knows what suits her vocals, and this chorus is gorgeous! If it was a Celine song it would have stood out on her most recent album.

 

I will hear no shade on Courage. She had the … ahem… courage to try something new.

Ruins is great, had forgotten this but it's beautiful! :wub:

My wildest dreams is okish. Another song that’s not bad but a bit safe/bland/too long.

Claire because I think she’s have less to lose if she did it but flopped. Steps have attained a great level of success and respect with this comeback, so I think Eurovision would be far too risky for them with potentially no benefits at all!

10. My Wildest Dreams

 

Not too bad - clear why she named the album after this song, especially with the double meaning I guess. Top half of the album but so far, that’s just about scraping a compliment.

Ya i would agree, although musically i prefer steps, i think it would be better is Claire did it alone.

A stand out moment on the album :heart: I can tell she really connected with this one, she sings very passionately.

My wildest dreams is good, i like the chorus alot for it,

What works in the favour of the better songs on this album is that they run for longer than 3 mins. Refreshing.

 

It’s a downside when it’s not a good one though…

For now…zzzzzzz….my least favorite this far.

For now, another good enough song but i think it suffers a little from the ballad heaviness of the album.

A soaring track, and while it doesn’t particularly stand out, it’s another beautiful vocal delivery!

Track 12: Don’t Leave Me in This Love Alone

 

This is such a gorgeous closer to the standard album, powerful and a bit of drama here. I like how she’s using her voice here, a deeper pitch than she typically goes for when she belts. For me this is definitely in the top half of the album. :wub:

Don’t leave me on this life alone is another nice/done by the numbers kind of song for me.
