Track 12: Don’t Leave Me in This Love Alone

 

This would be the song she would sing if the group still had solo sections - just to belt something out! It’s alright!

Dont leave me in this love alone while another ballad feels way more uplifting than for now which kinda felt a bit forgettable.

Gorgeous closer (to the standard album)! :wub: The title track was great too, For Now not a highlight but there's nothing bad to be found on this album :heart:

the standard version in a way was probably enough and it was a good closer.

Forever ends with you is another track that is giving me ESC vibes. At least not another ballad.

Track 13: Forever Ends With You

 

This definitely adds a different flavour to the album, certainly in terms of the production & the chanty delivery. I can understand why it didn’t make the main track list, but I don’t mean that in the sense that it isn’t good enough, it just fits in better as a deluxe moment! I like it!

Started out really well with a funky beat and then just went Claire by numbers, shame.

If I didn’t have you is giving me Delta! Nice track I have to say. Not to slow or too long like some of the songs.

Forever Ends With You is a nice change of pace, though I wouldn't have swapped it into the main tracklist given the opportunity I must admit.

Ya the deluxe in this case missed the boat. If i didnt have you definitely suffers from Claire oversinging it but even that aside its still not great,

I can kind of imagine this having been a Steps album track back in the day, if it had a poppier production. This kind of gives me a country vibe. Anyway, I can imagine Faye singing on this too!

I understand why they added My heart is heading home. Could’ve been a nice b-side during Steptacular. A bit too long as well for me.

This second one is very Claire by numbers though.

The deluxe just didnt work for me as it was too much of the same and it kind of made the album feel boring, its a very Claire album to be fair but give me a steps album anyday, even with steps im not a huge fan of their slow numbers i much prefer upbeat steps and i think Claires album for me suffers from having very little upbeat on it.

This one's really picked up as it's gone on! :heart:

Track 15: My Heart Is Heading Home (This Christmas)

 

A very pretty song, but like the Steps Christmas album, I feel that this is more “winter” in its vibe than “Christmas” specifically.
