Apparently the judges are "furious" that Seann and Katya stayed, erm if you didn't overmark them so much they probably wouldn't have? :drama:

Alfonso Ribeiro set to be the guest judge on Saturday then.

I'M HERE FOR THIS

As for the judges getting a grump on re: Seann and Katya, that's their own fault isn't it? TBH by the BBC/producers being all 'Oh let the dancing do the talking' and keeping them in they did the complete opposite anyway.

I'm not here for this 'Couples Choice' rubbish either. It's getting too far away from what the show's supposed to be about.

How is it? I don't see the problem in adding some more dances for a bit of variety. I love contemporary dance so I'm looking forward to seeing some of those. Street is probably a bit far but jazz isn't a million miles away from some of the stuff they already do.

Songs/dances this week:

Ashley & Pasha: Rumba (Something About The Way You Look Tonight)

Lauren & AJ: Contemporary (Runnin' by Naughty Boy)

Stacey & Kevin: Samba (Tequila by David Hirschfelder)

Faye & Giovanni: Foxtrot (Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars)

Kate & Aljaz: Viennese Waltz (Finally Mine by Juliet Roberts)

Vick & Graziano: Cha-Cha-Cha (More Than Friends by James Hype)

Danny & Amy: Jive (Flip, Flop, Fly by Ellis Hall)

Seann & Katya: Quickstep (Lightning Bolt by Jake Bugg)

Dr. Ranj & Janette: American Smooth (Wouldn't It Be Nice by The Beach Boys)

Charles & Karen: Street (Get Up Off That Thing by James Brown)

Graeme & Oti: Tango (Roxanne by The Police)

Joe & Dianne: Waltz (Rainbow Connection by Sleeping At Last)

Ffs at Stacey getting a samba :drama: Hopefully she can surprise us again like with her foxtrot but I'm always on edge for a samba...

I’m not getting “Street”, is that supposed to be like hip-hop?

Yeah it's pretty much what's called hip-hop on DWTS, I think there's a slight difference but it's mainly called street here.

Alfonso is terrible  Is he going to offer anything other than "I did this on my season!11!"......

I usually hate sambas, was expecting a disaster but that was really fun! Stacey has a great way of making her dances really really fun, a samba is really hard but I think her and Kevin had the right idea, nailing the basics and just making it really fun.

Darcey can gtfo, I was legit expecting like sub 25 though because of how bad sambas can be!

EIGHTS for Joe's Waltz?

Maybe it's just my bias though, I find Waltzes really boring too and Joe is a bit lifeless in slow dances which doesn't help when it's already hard to take them.

I feel like there's a contender waiting to jump out of Vick but it never quite manages to, I really like her though as a person and want her to do well. There doesn't seem to be too much of a connection between her and Graziano, really can't take to him as a pro and his choreography is often really boring.

She will probably end up going after that barring a bigger disaster from someone else and being in the dance-off with them.

I said a while back that Danny is the dark horse of the competition, much like Joe was at the beginning last year!
Ngl I really didn't see the 10 in Danny's jive, especially given Ashley's Rumba didn't get any - 9s yes but not a 10. Can't take to him really, really hope he doesn't do a Joe and win. I love that this series is so unpredictable though and there's probably still another contender or two to come out.
A ten for Danny's jive, wow!. He made me tired just watching him...Danny was amazing..
