30 year-old Melissa Jefferson (Lizzo) extends her stay at No.1 to a third consecutive week with the catchy retro funk of “Boys”, which in turn holds the juxtaposition of Mitski's upbeat ode to loneliness “Nobody” in the runners-up seat for a second week. A trio of future contenders post impressive climbs into and within the Top 10 this week. Young Fathers soar 8-3 with the fourth single from Cocoa Sugar entitled “Holy Ghost”, this gives them an impressive eighth Top 3 hit in just 4 years, including five number ones - also up is French singer/songwriter Christine and the Queens with second single from new LP Chris - “Doesn't Matter (Voleur de Soleil)” vaulting 10-4 this week and finally Dublin DJ Dec Lennon (aka Krystal Klear) leaping from 12-6 with late summer anthem “Neutron Dance”. It's presence in the top tier means that for the first time in 11 weeks DJ Koze's “Pick Up” is not as it fades 7-12 like the hot summer in the UK and elsewhere in Europe this week. Also heading out of the Top 10 is St. Vincent's “Fast Slow Disco” which peaked at #4 in July and now retreats 9-15.
