It's obviously different but it's v good once you get into it, it's always conveniently between the Jan celeb series and the summer series so it came at the right time for me to get hooked :lol:

What month does it usually launch? And how long does each series last? Looks like I'm gonna have to start my first series in 2019 for obvious reasons!

End of June and it's just over 3 months to the end of September *.* There's only 3 episodes a week though and it's got a more rigid format, focused much more on the game, obv the days may change (and there's twists that sometimes get added to each episode obv), but it's Sunday is the start of the week so you see them play HOH and nominate, Wednesday they play veto and then Thursday is the live eviction, sometimes you get HOH live after that but they normally leave it on a cliffhanger so you find out Sunday (or like 2 hours later on an update account), there's 24/7 live feed to make up for it but it's a bitch to get on in the UK so I just follow update accounts to keep up :lol:

Oh yeah I forgot that! Actually a good way to get into the format as it's shorter but sticks to it still.

Canada also starts in March which is the same format but feels closer to BBUK with the characters at times. Canada is better than US nowadays bar this year where Canada had a weak ish season and US had a fairly good one mostly other than a few boring weeks towards the end.

Its flat not letting the crowd play in for the evictions,here in Ireland we have lost bbbots,virgin have dropped it :unsure:

I don't even know where to START, but last night was better than I imagined it would be.

I arrived at 5pm and there was literally ONE person in the queue and the audience managers were not even there :lol: I went to McDonald's and Tesco's and eventually went back to queue at 6. The audience managers had arrived but at that point it was STILL just me and the other guy at the front of the queue :lol: I was asked if I wanted 'priority' tickets (I guess they needed to fill up the 32 people required to have priority?), I said yes ofc so I was sitting in a VIP queue :kink:

By 6.30 the queue started to get a bit busier, but by 7.30 the Applause Store staff were ASKING people off the streets if they wanted to appear on Big Brother and they could if they had photo ID. :ph34r: It was really sad to see them to have to do that with a show I adore so much. I think we ended up with about 200 people in the end. :/

When we all eventually went in (2.5 hours later!) I was completely shocked at how small the studio is. I could literally touch Emma from where I was standing.. it was THAT small. When Emma said 'Welcome back to Big Brother' after the first ad-break I almost got hit by the camera :lol:

Once the warm up guy did the not-so-warming warm up, Emma and Rylan had to film all of their links. It was CRAZY seeing them both in real life. Emma is even more stunning than she appears to look and Rylan is a GIANT, he's so tall!!! I almost fainted when I saw Rylan tbh, he was so kind. Once Emma and Rylan had filmed their links, the audience manager told us 'NOT TO BOO' any of the housemates as 'WE LIKE TO KEEP THE SHOW POSITIVE'. It was so annoying as the crowd were then DEAD and hardly made any noise whatsoever when Emma was announcing the numbers etc. The TV made as sound LOUDER than we actually were :lol: it was absolutely silent at points and I felt so embarrassed...

During the ad-breaks, they either played music (Rihanna - We Found Love multiple times *.*) or gave away prizes. However, by prizes I mean 1 cue card and a packet of Smarties.. :ph34r:

None of the crowd could really focus on the highlights episode though. On TV, it looks as if we all turn to watch the screen but it's honestly so uncomfortable. We were all mostly looking at Emma speaking to the producers.

Also forgot to mention, but when we were all finally in the studio, we were informed that the show would be on a 45 minute delay, so the show actually STARTED at 9.15pm rather than 10pm which is when it starts on TV. We all found out about Kenaley's eviction at about 10.15pm and she was interviewed at 10.30pm. It's not actually live to the point as such.

As I was lucky enough to get VIP tickets, myself as well as the 30 others were asked to go into the interview room to prepare for the eviction. It was SO crazy to be there and the room is actually bigger than what it feels like on TV. Before the eviction, Emma came in and checked Twitter (goals :lol:) as I saw her type in her phones password and launch the Twitter app :o When Emma spoke to the house it was so surreal. It is so crazy to see it all from another point of view which I've probably already mentioned 386 times. When Kenaley came down for her interview, she was SO nervous. She had to have crew come up and speak to her during the ad-break to calm her down bless her, but she didn't seem nervous at all on TV. I can confirm that Kenaley looks SO different to what she does on TV, she's SO small!!! Honestly if I walked past her in the street I wouldn't even recognise her. :lol:

Kenaley was such a sweetheart in the interview, she spoke to us before she was dragged off set by producers. Emma was also so down to earth and hilarious too.

I got home at 12.30am but couldn't sleep until 3am due to the excitement :lol:

ALSO, we had live feed until we started the show and Cameron PICKED HIS NOSE, we all SCREAMED and that was probably the loudest we were all night :lol:

There is still probably so much to say about the show, but there was so much to take in. It was a craaazzzy experience and I honestly recommend anyone to go to the show. It's so worth the journey and waiting around. It's nice and interesting to see the show from a different perspective. It was also nice to see Emma and Rylan in real life I suppose too x

Sounds like u had a great time and experience which is great,delighted Emma and rylan are as nice as they come across as they do on tv.

Don't think this has been mentioned yet, but here's the TV listings for Big Brother for..

* Last Wednesday episode: 22:30-00:00

* Last 2 Sunday episodes: 22:30-00:00

This means that Bit On The Side will most likely air at 00:00-01:00.

That is RIDICULOUS. What a way to treat your biggest show, Channel 5.

Tbf only celeb is their biggest, but still it gets decent ratings for the channel (like top 10 ish of the week) and there's no point shoving it even further back in favour of endless shit about railways :drama:
If Brooke gets viewer nomination again I'm done lmao

Brooke (who is actually a really nice/decent person) only having 2 more votes than bloody Sian :manson: :drama:
