We haven't ever had an old song get taken off ACR due to "active promotion" yet so I've no idea what the rules are regarding this. For now I would assume that 'Bohemian Rhapsody' won't be reset as the promotion is for the movie and soundtrack album rather than the song itself.

I'd agree with this, I'm not sure it would count as "active promotion" still. Besides, I think that's basically just an OCC "get out of jail free" card they can use to reset a song whenever they need to. I don't expect to see it used for a song like Bohemian Rhapsody!

The 'movie version' and the original recording (well, the 2011 remastering) are one and the same as far as Spotify's concerned (they count for the same Spotify chart position).

surprising how well Rak-Su is doing on Apple Music

Breathin has had such an odd chart run. It looked like it was going to be an all consuming massive Dark Horse style smash when the album was released, but it’s kind of languished in the mid teens since then and is now on ACR. I guess no video hasn’t helped, as well as the lacklustre radio 1 b-list support, but it feels like a real missed opportunity.

I think it might fall victim to the whole 'songs over three years old' thing so it probably won't, but if it did escape ACR I think it would be likely to chart considering it's top 40 on iTunes as well.

 

That artificial arbitrary rule needs to go. This isn't the billboard100!!
