Aly? What's that video all about you've posted in your English Summer Rain part???

The animated video they did for it. Some animated videos can be good, but I don't think they made a great job of this one. :(

    Ok this is the strangest thing I've ever seen!!!! I know the animated video, I don't quite like it either, but seriously, when I watched the video just a few minutes ago it definetely wasn't the Placebo-video! It was about 2 guys, and in the end one of them was about to kill the other one with a knife... or something like that.......

I don't know what was wrong but, I watched it again when I saw your post and now it IS the animated video of English summer rain...

Either I'm going crazy or You tube is............

28: Then The Clouds Will Open For Me

'Bruise Pristine' b-side:

This b-side is an accoustic ballad from their early days. Brian's voice TRULY shines on this beautiful number. There is no performances or anything of this on YouTube, but you MUST hear this track if you can.

 As you know. this is one of my fave Placebo songs - ever! Would be in my top 3 in fact...

So emtional and raw

25: Hang On To Your IQ

Taken from the album Placebo http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDFLOORY2.JPG

This is a track from their debut album that I didn't used to rate very highly, but it's grown on me a lot recently. Great to relax to, but it also builds up to be quite rocky in places.

Favourite line from song: "Two rubbers, two lubes and a silver rocket"

As the track has no official video, here is a different live performance of it:

24: Slave To The Wage

Taken from the album Black Market Music. UK chart peak #19 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDFLOORX13.JPG

This was the second single to be taken from Placebo's third album Black Market Music, back in 2000. Not my favourite Placebo single by a long shot, but it's still grand. I especially love the drums after the choruses. You MUST see the video if you haven't seen it, it's simply brilliant. The way everything shreds around the woman. :D

23: The Crawl

Taken from the album Without You I'm Nothing http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDFLOOR8.JPG

Mellow, deep and haunting track from the Without You I'm Nothing album. Totally sublime, fantastic lyrics and well vocalled. What more can you possibly ask for?

Favourite line in song: "It's way too broke to fix, no glue, no bag of tricks"

As this track doesn't have an official video, here is a live performance:

22: 36 Degrees

Taken from the album Placebo. UK chart peak #80 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDFLOORY2.JPG

One of the stand out tracks from the debut album, this is a fierce angst-ridden number. This was the second single they ever released, and is highly regarded as a fan favourite. Here it lands on my countdown at #22, which is still very good.

Favourite line from song: "Thought I was getting carat gold, but what I got was you"

This track really moves me, I love everything about it. It's a very downtempo track and is very atmospheric. One of my favourite tracks from Without You I'm Nothing.

Favourite line from song: "Dog boy - media whore, it's who the hell you take me for"

As there is no official video for this track, here is a live performance:

This was Placebo's first top 40 single, just over 10 years ago now. A great single with excellent lyrics, and I especially love the video!

Favourite line in song: "I'll stick to my needle, and my favourite waste of time"

19: Drag

Taken from the album Meds http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDFLOOR26.JPG

This is a track I have started to really love lately, and I wouldn't mind seeing it become the next single. The lyrics tell a tale of how he feels inferior to someone else.

Favourite line in song: "You got A's on your algebra tests, I failed and they kept me behind"

As there is no official video for this track, here is a live performance:
