September 19, 20186 yr Oh God. I didn't even realise Real Friends had been given any kind of push, this is a nice song, but She Loves Control is the album seller, hopefully it will be that 6th single that smashes. (New Rules.2)

September 20, 20186 yr I think it’s the best choice for winter personally and I think this is the album seller too ballads sell albums and this will help push her album over winter as I imagine she’s getting X Factor promo at least too.

September 20, 20186 yr 'She Loves Control' has been THE craziest missed opportunity. It was a nailed-on top 5 both here and in the US, but I think they may have messed around so much that it's probably too late now though even if they were to go for it. October 8, 20186 yr She's confirmed this as the final single from the album with a new orchestral version to be released tomorrow: a new version of consequences called consequences (orchestra) is gonna come out tomorrow night at midnight ET, and it’s going to be the song I choose as my last single from my album- a lot of people say ballads like this are “risky” and with every single i’ve picked i get looks like i have three heads, because people always want you to go with a song that sounds like something that’s already on the radio. it would be playing it safe for me to make a song that sounds like Havana or another uptempo song, but to me, my goal is to challenge myself by not doing what feels predictable or obvious, to do things that excite me, and give you the most honest representation of who I am through music. i know sometimes it’ll work and other times it’ll fail, but thats okay with me. no matter what this song does, i wanted to close this era finishing on a song that makes you feel, that makes you think about someone you loved and lost, that makes you think about what it’s like to love someone so deeply. if this era tugs on your heart strings even a little bit, that’s all i care about. the video comes out very soon and it’s the one I’m proudest of so far, and I’ll be performing this at the AMA’s in a couple days. love only, Camila I have to agree with literally everyone about the missed opportunity that was "She Loves Control" but I don't think this song is as bad as most of you are making it out to be. "Real Friends" was cute too but I don't understand her reasoning behind not wanting to release a song similar to "Havana" (SLC) then releasing two ballads in a row...
October 8, 20186 yr I appreciate her reasoning behind it all, I like that she seems to have some authenticity to her. I really like 'Consequences', it's not my fave on the album and as far as ballads go I prefer 'Something's Gotta Give' and 'All These Years' but it's still a really strong song - the whole album is! Maybe with a new production and a live performance could elevate it.
October 8, 20186 yr It's good that she wants to take a risk but she needs to be careful. She's still a relatively new artist starting out and the hype from Havana died down a long time ago.
