As you may or may not be aware, the sequel to 'Happy Death Day' has been announced and it's now got a title..

But anyway, exciting. The first was enjoyable and fun enough. I feel this is gonna be a bit too tacky and cringe but we shall see!

This has potential to be a disaster but if I can give Happy Death Day credit for something it's that the twist was executed so well.

Loved this movie. It was like a campier Scream mixed with a campier FD

I’d say it’s more similar to Groundhog Day than FD but the Scream mixture is spot on

 

It doesn’t take itself too seriously which I love

'Happy Death Day' was honestly one of my fave movies last year, if not my most favourite! A lot of fun, and just a really good horror that reminded me of the likes of Scream and 00's slashers which is seriously missing in this day and age.

 

Really looking forward to a sequel, think it might be best if it has a new cast but the cast from the first film was so likeable, especially the lead that I'd be happy if they stuck with it too.

I'm guessing we'll get the trailer very soon if the release date is VD 2019 *.* Next month presumably with it being halloween so there's 9 million horrors out? The first one was Blumhouse productions iirc so if this one is as well I'd guess we'll get the 1st trailer with Halloween *.*

I rewatched the first one recently and it holds up to repeated viewings so well! So hyped for this, the trailer makes it look a bit more comedic than the first but I'm hoping it'll balance the humour / horror nicely as it did with the first.

Seems like it's gonna be very cheesy and ott. I'm not sure if I'm here for it or not. Argh. We'll see.

Honestly the most disappointed I've ever come out of a film :(. It was only mildly funny, not scary, didn't keep you intrigued and adopted a weird sci find element / family fun element that I was not here for. Tree and Danielle deserve better.

I really enjoyed this. I think some of the science elements were a bit meh but it was enjoyable and fun and I liked how the plot was similar yet different.

 

When the film first started, I thought it would just be the same thing all over again but it was similar yet different and I liked how it played out.
