November 13, 20187 yr Author I think it's a shame that she's gone down such a MOR route with this album (from what I've heard). "Here" and even "Scars to Your Beautiful" were exciting but the songs from this album sound like they're by a completely different artist. She proved she still has it with "1-800" so hopefully there will be at least one song in that vein on this album.
November 13, 20187 yr “Growing Pains” from “The Pains Of Growing” Wild Things remains my favourite from her, although Scars is a very close second. I’ve heard Growing Pains once I think and it didn’t really do anything for me, I’ll try find time to listen to the album when it’s released though
November 13, 20187 yr Scars to your Beautiful was amazing, where did it peak in the UK? Edit: did it really peak at #55!!!!!!!!!!! boo :/
November 13, 20187 yr Really shocked this album hasn’t been pushed back. Really disappointed with the singles so far
November 14, 20187 yr Author “Growing Pains” from “The Pains Of Growing” It really is a terrible title. I'm surprised to learn that she's 22, she still portays herself through her imagery + music as a 17 year old  "Not Today" is actually the best out of the four songs she's released from this so far: 60zHeOpc8sU
November 25, 20187 yr I actually don't know where it's all gone wrong for her. 'Growing Pains' seemed to have killed the campaign and no streaming platform supported her in the slightest, I don't get how you can go from two monster hits from 'Scars To Your Beautiful', 'Stay', winning a Grammy for best new artist into a gigantic mess of a campaign where I doubt the album will trouble the charts. I don't think for a second it will go top 75 in the UK and I don't think it will debut top 15 in the United States which is honestly a disastrous result. I'm actually incredibly gutted about this whole campaign because I've not LOVED anything from this campaign so far and I loved so much from 'Mr Know It All'. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if her label dropped her and she faded into obscurity, I would have preferred the done a Meghan Trainor and delayed / cancelled the album. Winning best new artist at the grammys is a true curse.
November 25, 20187 yr Growing Pains is one of my songs of the year but that was never going to do well in the charts...
November 25, 20187 yr I think if they built towards a more euphoric ending which it sounds like it is then I would like it more! I'm always so dissatisfied at the end.
December 12, 20187 yr Debuted at #71 in the USA... this has all gone so suddenly wrong for her, I didn't even know she had new stuff out?!
December 12, 20187 yr It's really odd, around the time of the Logic song I really thought she was setting herself up to take it to the next level.
December 12, 20187 yr She's 100% getting dropped, that is absolute tragic. The curse of BNA continues.
December 12, 20187 yr What’s BNA? Absolutely gutted that she’s flopping majorly. I completely understand Growing Pains ruined her career, despite really liking that song.
December 12, 20187 yr She needs I'm Yours Part 2. In all seriousness, I still think she can come back from this but she can't take control of her strategy again.
December 12, 20187 yr Yeah, I agree that she can definitely come back from this. It helps that she never quite made it massive if that makes sense.
