Nah, I'm good thank you.

Stay ignorant I guess.

291k in the UK? That’s not a terrible debut is it? Especially when they don’t have NMF

Nah, overall. Is that even enough for a top 200 debut? What a mess.

Yeah, it’s not gonna go close to top 200 on Spotify. Doing great on Apple Music though! 43 there!

Ah - 300k overall is not good at all.

They must have something planned surely. They’ve just changed the cover on Spotify.

Meh, I was expecting as much with no NMF support. Its Apple Music performance is really promising though!

Edit: Lord, the way some forum members can barely contain themselves at the first whiff of them underperforming.

Lets not state that it's disappointing for them not to be top 200 on Spotify. "lord".

I've had this on repeat since yesterday. This is one of the best pop songs Little Mix has ever released. Currently #8 on UK itunes!!!

There are very few artists I’d expect to make the top 200 with ANY playlisting and Little Mix are one of them. Especially since it’s not like this is a hugely hyped lead single. It’s a remix of a song already on the album. Of course it didn’t make the Top 200 without New Music Friday. It’s not gonna touch the Top 200 until they get it on Hot Hits UK.

I’m genuinely surprised people thought it would be anywhere near the top 200 without NMF when it’s the same song that’s been out for months.

Now the question is, will it ever be on the important playlists in the UK?

Eventually, yes. Like I said yesteray i knew people would start saying this but it’ll be fine, as they always are.

I’m a big fan of the song so I’m not trying to like dwell in its slight lack of success on Spotify

BUT, you would’ve throught LM had a large enough core fan base in the UK of people who wanted to hear the song, possibly multiple times on its day of release, that it wound Make the top 200 at least even without playlist support

And possibly genral who follows them on social media and was curious to see how the remix sounded

It is pretty weird that it has made no impact on its opening day when they have such a large fan base

I hope this puts things in perspective:

Only You was a brand new song, and their first new music in 9 months. And it was only 8 on New Music Friday, which meant it debuted at #95 on Spotify. If that had not been on NMF at all, there’s no way it would have made the top 200 either and that’s actually a brand new song!

It's really not that big a deal that they missed the top 200 today. It's a shame and I thought they might have been in at like #167, but this isn't that big of a surprise. No NMF playlisting, no HHUK add and nothing else significant + the fact this ISN'T a brand new song means that there's very little interest from the streaming public so far. Let's not get hung up on day 1 as there's so much time left for this to show its hit potential.

There are definitely some over reactions. The only thing I'm sad about is that I was one of few people to believe not everyone relied on playlists to play them things... but I was very naïve and wrong lmao. I guess people do just like to stick a playlist on and listen to whatever is fed to them.

But meh. This is just the change in times and how people consume music nowadays.

I'm still confident that it's gonna be a hit for them. Due to it still seemingly gaining on iTunes (when groups like LM start falling around this time before stabilising on the Monday etc..) and making strong gains on Apple Music.

There's really nothing to worry about, yet.

Don’t get me wrong I’m still pretty f***ing annoyed that it wasn’t on NMF, whether it was Spotify or the label’s mistake I’m really pressed because I knew immediately that it meant it wouldn’t do anything on Spotify on its first day and would have probably debuted between 40 - 60 if it was in the top 4 on there. So whoever forgot can they please be fired?
Maybe the label are saving the Spotify push until nearer the BRITs? The song is far from their best though.
