I don't see anything wrong with the Xmas invasion every year. It's not for long and it's great to see a lot of the songs back every year. After Xmas is over all the non-xmas songs rise back up anyway and get a little boost due to the gift card effect (although not sure it's that noticeable now with how big streaming is).

It might be just my OCD talking, but I think the problem is that the Christmas carol influx would drive some songs to premature ACR that have potential to peak higher or last longer on the chart, and there would be some inaccuracies in that these songs feel bigger on the chart than they really were. That's probably the only reason why I would advocate for a larger ratio for the holiday songs (not the ratio that Hadji suggested but still a bit larger than they normally would be on ACR).

As long as songs keep on selling, they'll be fine - Christmas songs don't hinder the sales of other songs, just the chart positions. A song could drop 20 places due to Christmas songs but still register a 5% increase in sales, and that's what matters for ACR. We didn't see anything flung into premature ACR last year!

Baby has been moved up a bit for the second time in the past few days.

It's not much, but I'll take it!

I think it’s safe to say that Baby is over anyway

They should just move onto the next single. Including someone like Marina is gonna ruin the song. They should just give “Mama” a push

Exactly, right now we are looking at songs entering the top 100 from practically every decade since the 50s/60s!

I think that is quite special and makes the chart more exciting for all generations. It is only a few weeks a year.

Or even the 40s with White Christmas!

I think it'll get a decent boost on the first week of 2019!

Irish band Picture This' One Drink has been added to HHUK.

There was me hoping for something at least remotely indie but it seems as though they've completely lost their sound already

wow never seen anything like that for YT views, usually songs do 300-500K daily, never seen any track with 2.5 million!

bad Syco not paying to have Dalton added to HH

even Picture This sent their check :D

Kworb just updated, and ‘thank u, next’ has 2.5m views on YouTube, which is 2.2m more than Girls Like You!

Wait Girls Like You is doing 2.2m views daily? Or am I misunderstanding this

Just listened to One Drink (October) then This Morning (March) and they've literally gone from 2013 Kodaline to 2018 Kodaline in 7 months

no, M5 are doing 300K and Ariana 2.5 million on YT, so Ari is 2.2 million in front
