Yes Scott Mills basically gave it a spot play on his show each day that year along with Kelly Clarkson(which they didn't playlist either)!

 

They did playlist some John Lewis songs (which are vaguely xmassy) including Gabrielle Aplin and Lily Allen. They A listed Christmas Lights by Coldplay and The Wombats Is this Christmas and also Band Aid 20 and Darkness efforts.

Yes they did, that was before Gabrielle and Lily - it was A listed, think this was the first big support for John Lewis I think. The last being Aurora which only reached the B list I think!?

All of his posthumous stuff has been really underperforming compared to the impact he had on the Spotify charts immediately after his death (and even before that), I was fully expecting him to have multiple songs in the top 10 today. Maybe people are just seeing through the oversaturation and cash grabbing with clearly unfinished material.

 

This. He still gets decent support in the US but that's it. His team should let him rest in peace.

Yes, it's called 'Skins' and it becomes his third studio album, his first posthumous one.

 

Interestingly the whole album (which has ten tracks) lasts less than twenty minutes!

but it's the normal for labels to milk an artist as much as they can after the artist dies

Every single climber today is either a Christmas song or from TGS. The only exceptions are Don't Stop Me Now by Queen and September by Earth, Wind & Fire :lol:

They were at #65 and #92 on the 25th last year. Their streams are still split between 2 versions, so that is the likely explanation for them not having entered yet.

 

The Waitresses have a similar issue for 'Christmas Wrapping' (#62 and #169 last year) which annoyingly hasn't entered yet this year in either version.

Nice to see Kylie Santa Baby up there at 35. Sadly a few big Spotify playlists the year have gone with Ariana version and Eartha Kitt always does well

How is Greg Lake - I Believe in Father Christmas nowhere here either! :o
