The trailer looks insane *_*

I have a feeling this will premiere on New Year's Day!

BBC Media Centre has confirmed it will air between 29th December and 4th January so you could be right!

Episode 1 description:

A new spate of nightmarish murders brings DCI John Luther (Idris Elba) to once again face the depths of human depravity on the streets of London. While the monstrous and seemingly indiscriminate killings become ever more audacious and public, Luther and new recruit D.S. Catherine Halliday (Wunmi Mosaku) are confounded by a complex tangle of leads and misdirection that seems designed to protect an untouchable corruption. As the body count rises, and gangster George Cornelius (Patrick Malahide) applies his own pressure, can Luther catch a killer and save his own neck?

Can't wait to see Wunmi in this!

The trailer for this looks pretty awesome, makes note to self, keep lounge lights on -_-

It's provisionally scheduled to air 1-4 Jan at 9pm!

Nice to see them putting it on consecutive days! It's the type of show where a one week gap is NOT welcome!!

Will it be all on the iplayer like they usually do these days?

Luther's back tonight after a 4 year break with a dark story of a serial killer lasting all week over 4 episodes.
This was a perfect end to the evening, the drama was very gripping throughout with a decent storyline the only damp squib about it was the ending it was just predictable that they have the wrong guy, as if they catch the killer in the first episode. The stabbing on the bus looked pretty grim to watch, at least it was short lived. The side-story with Patrick Malhaide, I really wanted more of it to develop just have to see what awaits as the story goes along.
Out of the 3 episodes so far, I found tonight's episode so much better than the previous ones, and I thought I was going to be disappointed with this series, as the first 2 were slightly slow and didn't get moving until tonight's episode. Looking forward to the last episode which looks good.
Oh piss off with killing Alice :/

She's obvs not dead. Left convenient for a movie.

Thought the series was pretty poor, some dodgy character moments. I thought they might have learned from killing Warren Brown's character off.. obvs not!

Would appear Netflix are co-financing a movie, which I assume will either be shown on the BBC at some point probably late 2022.

Andy Serkis has been cast as the villian.
