Really love Promises, still not bored of it even with his new single coming out.

You love Promises just for Calvin I suppose. You're not a big Sam Smith fan I know. :P

#10 Dave - Funky Friday (ft. Fredo)

Definitely my fave 2018 Urban track, one of the best UK number ones last year. Brilliant production and strong vocals, I think I'll always remember this track in the future.

Funky Friday doesn't do that much for me but I was delighted that it got #1, the first UK urban afro-rap song to do that after Barking got so close. And of course Be Alright is a masterpiece, really deserved to go Top 10!

Afro-rap song? Yes, you're right. ;p

It was a pity Be Alright wasn't UK top 10 really. I cried a river. :(

Funky Friday certainly was one of the better rap hits of the year!

Indeed. I don't think I liked any other rap song. :P

#9 Ava Max - Sweet but Psycho

So the question is Ava Max the new Lady Gaga or is she destined to be one-hit-wonder?

Maybe it's not totally politically correct, but I also love the music video. :P

#8 Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart ft. Miley Cyrus

Just realised now that Mark Ronson first UK hit was released 15 years ago. :o Miley Cyrus also released some amazing songs in the past, but my fave is still Party in the USA. Hannah Montana 4eva.

#7 DJ Snake - Taki Taki ft. Selena Gomez, Ozuna, Cardi B

Taki Taki Rumba!!!!! Wow! This song is always on my mind since October. The worldwide Spotify megahit peaked only at #15 in the UK. I'm guessing British public got bored of latin songs very quickly after Despacito fever. It's a shame, this song deserved much more than that. Cardi B was everywhere last year, but this is her first and last appearance on here.

really like NBLAH, it'll be high in my EOY in 2019!

Taki Taki and Sweet but Psycho are both rather good too.

Nothing Breaks Like a Heart is wonderful, it's still pop but in a way we hardly ever see in the charts nowadays. Very reminiscent of the 00s I think!

I can see your point, but I'm not particularly nostalgic for early 00s songs. :P

I'm glad you're enjoying my top 10 so far, but there are 2 or 3 songs left that I know you couldn't add to your set list.

#6 - George Ezra - Shotgun

If there's a song that symbolizes last summer this song is Shotgun. I also like Paradise, but Shotgun is so much better imo.

Mr. Ezra had a fantastic year and I hope he wins British Male Solo Artist on Brits 2019.

Well you're right there, I don't enjoy Shotgun

#5 Clean Bandit - Solo (feat. Demi Lovato)

Clean Bandit is one of the most successful british groups of the 2010s and Demi Lovato is one of my fave pop girls. Is she doing it SOLO really?
