I've always wanted to know which 53 countries these singles were both #1 in.

For example, both singles were #1 in Mexico and the UK, would that be classed as 4 countries or would each country be counted individually to make up the 53 figure?

Does anybody know? Thank you :D

Mexico did not have an official single charts. Never had it.

Find official source I suggest. Your charts page have a lot of made up charts.

Well I got the Mexico information from the Official Spice Girls website, before it was updated in late 2018.

As for the other countries I found my information from old, archived charts and various online magazines and books such as Billboard Books and Music and Media.

But ultimately I was more interested in a list of the 53 countries where 'Say You'll Be There' and '2 Become 1' topped the charts.

It does not exist I think. It's Just a made up kind of record that was out in the past.

When Spice Girls were huge we didn't have iTunes charts, so it's impossible to be # 1 in 53 countries, when only 20-25 countries had the official singles chart.

Most likely they are airplay based charts or based on weekly viewers\listeners voting of the music channel or any radio station.

I've felt for a while that this stat was made up tbh :kink:
