Posted February 13, 20196 yr There’s been a couple of mentions of the original comic book on here in the Indie forum as it comes from MCR frontman Gerard Way. Now it’s been adapted for TV. It stars Ellen Page, Mary J. Blige, Robert Sheehan, Tom Hopper and loads more. Starts on Friday! Kqeeg5wTUsw
February 15, 20196 yr Author I’ve watched 3 episodes so far and love it. What a banging soundtrack too!
February 18, 20196 yr Same. The show is really good despite its flaws. Luther is such an annoying character, I wanted to slap him so many times ugh. Klaus and Vanya are my favourites though. Interestingly these 2 actors are the only ones I knew prior to the show but that was an irrelevant factor. Ellen Page though <333 I only have one question. Why do they always make a queer person a drug addicted mess on these shows?! Ugh Edited February 18, 20196 yr by Conderella
March 4, 20196 yr Just finished episode 3 and I'm starting to get into it quite a bit! Diego and Allison are my faves atm. Luther is irritating me, but that sort of character always does tbf. Really intrigued to see where all of this is going.
March 6, 20196 yr i've just finished this and omg i just spent most of it crying over vanya and klaus tbh
April 2, 20196 yr Yes! It really had to after that cliffhanger. I just hope S2 is a lot less slow now that all the characters have been set up.
April 2, 20196 yr Season 2 confirmed  Pleasantly surprised as they seemed to be hinting it was gonna get axed.
August 16, 20204 yr S1 was good on the whole, but a lot of "wasted potential" I felt. It could've done a lot more with the premise and the idea behind it. Currently on episode 9 of S2 and it's stronger! Allison & Diego remain to be my favourites, particularly the former  Vanya is irritating though. A lot of the time I think Ellen just phones it in with her and I just struggle to get any kind of response to her. Luther & Klaus are irritating too (although less so than they were in S1), but I like the handler in this season! But yeah S2 is really good! Allison's story arc...
August 24, 20204 yr Fab series. Season 2 is even better. Starting off with the end of the world and the deaths of all but one of the cast to the soundtrack of Maxine Nightingale's brilliant Right Back Where We Started From is hard to beat!! The music soundtrack choices are brilliant.
August 24, 20204 yr I've just started watching this show and haven't read this thread at all (trying to avoid spoilers) but I just had to say how much the concept reminds me of Misfits  Maybe part of that is how Robert Sheehan is in both shows though
September 4, 20204 yr Season 2 was AMAZING. I was not expecting much after a fairly dull and plodding first season, but they pretty much improved every aspect of the show: characterisation, pacing, plot (though it would be nice to have a different season arc than end of the world next time) and it was visually stunning too. Some fabulous performances - namely The Handler, Five, Klaus and Alison. Luther and Vayna remain the weak links, the former is such a non-character and the latter is just annoying for the most part.
September 4, 20204 yr Agree with a lot of the comments, Season 2 used a lot of the same premise as Season 1 but it was infinitely better. The pacing was good, it opened up the mythology and I really like the tone of the show too. There are some serious moments, but the humour is spot on. The Handler and Five are absolutely fantastic. It's so believeable to think the youngest actor is actually the oldest character! I was pleasantly surprised with the show, can't wait for Season 3 after the ending either.
