Day 4 - It's Doctor Who for me as well. I grew up with the original series from Jon Pertwee onwards. The special effects obviously weren't the same as they are now but the stories were well written and with many of them being made up of six 25 minute episodes, there was more space to flesh out the characters that appeared in each story and you would have a cliffhanger each week. I bought books, magazines and board games related to the programme. It was great to see it return in 2005 with a bigger budget.

i want yours and pavs fav scene (bloopers excluded)

Scene - veeeery hard to pick just one but the scene I probably laughed the most at was [Jerry/Larry/Gary]'s fart attack scene. It's so god damn simple but it's always the one that comes to mind when I think of what made me laugh the most.

Episode - The final episode was AMAZING and made me cry like a toddler missing his mom.

Character - Leslie is always the best.

Side Character - Joan Callamezzo <33333333

"seriously jerry did you eat farts for lunch?" still kills me

scene - like you say so hard to choose but the one that i always just go back to is the leslie dog poo fight. the way she gets so into it!

episode - london part 1 or 2

character - jean ralphio

side character - tammy II

Day 4: Sooooo hard, excluding Reality TV, I think I would pick one of Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, Friends and Will & Grace. All have stuck with me so much and had a impacting my life one way or another! Gossip Girl is knowingly trash but so addictive and Blair is one of my favourite TV characters ever.

omg it's ridiculously hard

the scenes that come to mind are the ice rink campaign speech and several moments when Leslie had the flu. "Be careful. The floor and the wall just switched" and "was I wearing a tiara when I came in here..." kill me EVERY TIME.

Also the battle Royale scene with Tammies. "not even close.. .glenn close".

THE PERM MUST WAIT AUTUMN. THE PERM. MUST. WAIT.

I'm rewatching parks and rec for the third time. that settles it

Day 05. A Show You Dislike?

the first that comes to mind is the big bang theory, its extremely overrated and completely unfunny and I consider my sense of humour to be diverse enough that I can find most things funny but god this show just irritates me :kink:

Day 04. Your favourite show ever: Seinfeld

It's simply the greatest, most important and most influential sitcom of all time. The writing is superb, brilliant cast and supporting characters, with some great guest stars as well. It's just a fantastic funny show with no emotional attachments whatsoever. Brilliant show.

Honourable mentions: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, Frasier and '90s Simpsons

Day 05. A show you dislike: Family Guy

I've never found it remotely funny at all. It's predictable, dull, tedious and boring. Awful show. :puke2:

Honourable mentions: Any Seth MacFarlane related show, The Big Bang Theory and Will & Grace

Day 01. A show that should have never been cancelled

Firefly

Day 02. A show that you wish more people were watching

The Orville

Day 03. Your favourite new show

Titans

Day 04. Your favourite show ever

Star Trek: Deep Space 9

Day 05. A show you dislike

Love Thy Neighbour (1972)

Day 5: A show I dislike - The Asterisk War

There's the usual suspects, Family Guy, Big Bang Theory, Mrs Brown's Boys, comedy that's been way played out, and bad insipid dramatic series that I can't recall, but you gain little from me telling you that. And I'm excluding reality TV from this as it isn't covered by this forum... and that leads me to this anime, that I've never actually seen. However I have seen a pretty interesting Youtube series that explains in 12-part detail, well, the title is The Asterisk War Sucks, so guess what it's about. I don't agree with everything the creator says, but on the subject of this show, and many like it, I absolutely do, as it's everything I don't want a show to be. It's not even this show in particular (there are quite a few others like it), it just represents my dislike for low-effort trash that looks awful, has boring and bland characters and settings, the plot is riddled with holes and the fact that it exists and people paid money to make this and actually thought others would be entertained by it just makes me feel bad. It represents the dark, bland side of anime, and that's much worse than being just a bad show.

Day 3: Your Favourite new show

Easy, Sex Education! Every character was great pretty much, they served a purpose and grew, Otis is just so adorable and Maeve is incredible. All of the stories were interesting from the way that the main characters developed to the funny little side stories with the sex therapy "business" and I didn't want the series to end, I binged it far too fast!

Day 4: Your Favourite TV Show

difficult, with reality TV included it would be Big Brother or Drag Race but if we don't include those, I'd be inclined to go for Simpsons, or at least the show it used to be before it bombed downhill  It's one of those shows I can just watch again and again and you still always find something new and clever.

Day 5: A show you dislike

In lieu of saying BBT like everyone else (my lord is that show terrible, unfunny and borderline offensive), I'm gonna go for Riverdale. A lot of people who have similar taste to me love(d) it but I just found it awful, even before this suspension of reality that is making everyone go off it. It tries/tried to do things that so many other shows do but ended up being like 100x more dragged out and generally horrendously dull, I just couldn't get it.

Day 5 - A show you dislike: The Jeremy Kyle Show

I know you can technically call this reality, but still. It's makes me very sad that is still on air and gets attention and takes advantage of the most damaged, broken people that clearly need professional help by promising 'help' and getting them on TV, and then getting lambasted by the clearly not qualified host, laughed at by the jeering audience and essentially made to feel even worse, and probably covered up as 'the first step' or some bollocks. It's sickening, as it it's continued popularity. I don't understand how anyone can get any enjoyment out of this, the description given of 'human bear baiting' is very apt.

(Honourable mention to Mrs Browns Boys, but I actually haven't seen an episode of that, and my life is all the better for it!)

Day 05. A Show You Dislike?

How I Met Your Mother

Tasteless garbage with no substance or any funny moments. Clichéd sitcom crap

a show you dislike: like others, the big bang theory. i tried to watch it once and i've never felt more cringed out by such unfunny jokes. the fact that it's not just liked by a handful of people but it;s like the biggest show in america BAFFLES me. it's not like i don't get or like american comedy cos all my favourite shows are american.

forgot day 2 and 3 so here's an update

Day 01. A show that should have never been cancelled: Broad city (changed my mind about LOST cos i've still not seen it enough to judge yet)

Day 02. A show that you wish more people were watching: Broad city

Day 03. Your favourite new show: The end of the f***ing world

Day 04. Your favourite show ever: Parks and rec

Day 05. A show you dislike: BBT

I'm so happy to see other people say they hate the Big Bang Theory as well. It's easily the worst show to ever get a DECADE on air.

1. A show that should have never been cancelled. American Vandal

2. A show that you wish more people were watching. Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

3. Your favourite new show. The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina

4. Your favourite show ever. Friends

5. A show you dislike. Gogglebox

I hate everything about this show. Terrible concept terribly realised.

Day 01. A show that should have never been cancelled: Flashforward

Day 02: A show you wish more people were watching: Episodes

Day 03: Your favourite new show: Maniac

Day 04. Your favourite show ever: Doctor Who

Day 05: A show you dislike: Most Haunted

Shows like Big Bang Theory are definitely up there but Most Haunted is something where I genuinely cannot see the enjoyment in watching, there is nothing you can take away from it. Every single episode is the same as they film in some random old building at night with Derek Achorah shouting ‘Mary loves Dick’ and the night cameras mean you can’t see anything and so the slightest movement becomes amplified by 10,000 while some some assistant producers are next door knocking on the wall

Day 05. A show you dislike: The Vampire Diaries

the-vampire-diaries.png

Idk, I just find this extremely generic. Like it seems obvious that they were riding on the Twilight hype train only with an improved plot, werewolves being side characters, and the introduction of witchcraft. But most of these characters seem to take themselves too seriously. The only character that doesn't is Stefan (and Caroline on a good day). The Originals does this formula much better tbh. Same problems but the focus on the canon lore more than makes up for it.

Day 5 - Strictly Come Dancing

I can't see the appeal of this at all. It's like something you would go to watch in the evening if you were on holiday at a Butlins holiday camp in the 1970s.
