So that’s about 20 seconds of the song down

I’m kinda expecting this to be similar to Happier, which was BRILLIANT, so cautiously having high hopes for this.

Have you actually heard the song? Doesn't sound like Westlife at all. Steve probably just polished the production a bit, it still sounds very Marshmello.

I mean if this guy can get CHVRCHES back in the charts then I’m all for it, but it’s a shame, it’s way too basic to have their name to it.
This sounds decent enough on first listen I guess... kind of the same as what I thought about 'Happier' and I ended up liking that quite a lot so hopefully this will be a grower as well. I want it to be a hit just so CHVRCHES finally get a bit of recognition.

I've genuinely not liked a single thing Marshmello has ever done, he's so terrible. Ugh!

I will be peeved if this ends up becoming CHVRCHES' biggest hit, when they've released so many superior tracks to this (i.e. just about all of them).

Debuts at #42 this week which is going to mean hopefully another Top 40 for Marshmello and CHVRCHES 2nd ever/highest ever in the coming weeks.

'Alternative' music video released - which suggests there will be a 'proper' one soon!

Made the Top 40 this week, hopefully it will be Top 10 soon! They will also be performing on Jimmy Kimmel in a few weeks.

This has really got me now. It is basic as hell but it's basically just 'Happier' again with Lauren Mayberry on vocals and I can't resist that. xx

(Also the lyrics are so cute)

Everything about this smacks of desperation. Marshmello is the king of tacky non-banging midtempo Spotify 'future bounce' dance-pop. Fair play to CHVRCHES for scoring another Top 40 hit but they are better than this. He is like the Poundland of electronic music in the same way that Post Malone is the 99p cheeseburger of hip-hop.

I'm with you every step of the way. Steve Mac needs to do one. Author of some of the most abysmal pop songs of recent years. He might have started his career with (I Want To GIve You Devotion) but it seems there has been one hell of a decline in quality since. He co-penned Bedroom Floor, one of the most laughably horrid songs of the current era. He's the king of Aldi pop cheese.
