Did they just randomly remove the bounce back video from hot hits without making any other changes to hot hits? Even though Little Mix are still the cover?

They’ll be removed from the cover but yikes at how far down now this is on Spotify playlists, I guess y’all have got to be thankful this managed a top 10 peak because I only think it will manage another three weeks max top 40. I would have preferred if they released another single from the album because this could potentially damage them.

Bounce Back hasn't grown on me at all. I feel like it was not a great move for them, and not something they should have wasted their slightly waning momentum as a group on. They won't continue to debut top 10 if they don't pick better songs.

They need to just move on from this abomination of a song and come back with a really strong lead single. I assume this doesn't have anything to do with their next album?

I really think at this point, they should do what Olly did and do a dual new album and greatest hits combination.

I think a third single from LM5 scraping the top 40 at best probably could have been pretty damaging for them too.

 

I mean, I get what they were trying with this but I think two weeks on we can safely say it's looking like a misstep. They just need to really pull it out of the bag with the proper lead-off from the next era.

Well it’s over

I'd go as far as saying this is their biggest misstep since Word Up.

For me this is their weakest single in many years.

 

Doing covers and relying on samples of very well known hits as the basis of your new single doesn’t really work for big pop bands anymore. It’s funny it was so commonplace 20 years ago, every huge pop act covered some other song that was huge 20 years earlier for an easy smash (Westlife, Boyzone, Atomic Kitten etc had so many, even Girls Aloud had their fair share) but now it just comes across as lazy and uninspired (samples less so but when they’re almost playback rather than doing something interesting with the sample the point still stands) and is often a poor career move that results in a flop single or lesser hit.

 

I don’t mind the concept of Bounce Back and the verses and general vibe is quite fun but that chorus sample honestly sounds so crap to me :(

The music video gained 400k views in the last 24 hours after just 2 weeks. I think even Think About Us did better , at this point Little Mix need a lot of promo to get a hit

Aye, I was just thinking that. On week three, TAU averaged at 400k for the week, whereas BB is currently below that. Having said that, I think there’s been an increase in the last 24 hours - but we shall see.

 

BB had a stronger YouTube start, and is performing better on Spotify than TAU did, so at least it’s picked up since. However more promo is needed

Promo does barely anything. They need a better song.

 

Can they stop forcing this on the public and spend their effort on a song that actually has a chance of catching on? The more they push this, the worse it’s going to reflect on them when it inevitably flops.

I still much prefer Bounce Back to the AWFUL Woman Like Me. Shame it’s flopping more than that did x
