From this weeks MW report:

Eyes Open dips 9-13 this week, falling out of the Top 10 for the first time in 16 weeks, and achieving the lowest placing of its 27 week chart career - but it’s still a great week for Snow Patrol, as the album sails past the million sales mark. By close of business on Saturday, Eyes Open had sold 1,010,595 copies (including 22,406 last week) and is well on the way to matching their 2003 breakthrough album Final Straw, which has sold 1,401,341 copies to date. Eyes Open is the 111th million seller of the 21st century.

:cheer:

I think it will as well. :(

I know people say oh The Arctics sales are $h!t as they hardly sold anything but what people don't seem to remember is they've only released two proper singles and both of those were released before the album. :D

They have done well, a million is nothing to be scoffed at! Look at how JT and Christina have underperformed (and Keane)

Well, its already gone up this week, and perhaps Christina will rise too when Hurt is finally released.

I dunno about Hurt. I really like the song but its not doing massivley in airplay or anything, but I think it will rise still but not as much as Justin's, but then again Christmas is coming up and big name artists like JT and Christina just sell alums by their name so I think they'll both begin to sell well soon. ^_^

Yes, Christmas is a good time for artists like them - it won't be long before all the top 10 albums will sell over 100k!

That will be good. ^_^ I'm hoping that sales are really good though for this Christmas as the chart needs a high selling period. ^_^

:cheer: Woo hoo!!!

Eyes open is a fantastic album. It has done very well. I think Chasing cars helped the increase of the album sale!

Excellent news! :D

And I don't mind it over-taking Arctic Monkeys because they're both world class albums

Well done to Snow Patrol. Mostly thanks to Chasing Car for sure.
im positive set the fire will really push album sales, eyes open album could easily sell 2 million overall in the uk i think
Yay! It'll get to No.1 on the Year-to-date albums chart soon as well!
