I’d love it if OTR managed to stay at #1 over 2 massive new releases

Those numbers are really disappointing for Taylor

LWYMMD opened with 5.3m streams so yea that's definitely worse. However, it's her only huge opening to date during the streaming era and coming from the mega successful era so not fair to think that all songs will open that big.

ME! is also still a clear #1 on iTunes.

personally I think the song is poor and seems like written for kids age 7, Taylor can do much better

Tbf LWYMMD was the only sizeable hit here from her last era the others didn't spend too long top 40, so I personally don't think thats a bad result, I think people are thinking she is bigger here than she is,

Also first 1, 2 debuts from different artists since 2015

It's catchy and stuff but I don't disagree.

That's not great for Taylor but I suspect her large video streams and downloads will give her at least a top 5 debut if not #3 behind Stormzy/Lil Nas
wow, thats shocking for Taylor
I guess it makes sense, if a load of people listen to the top 50 and it didn't update all day, and that would've been a big source of Taylor streams, while Stormzy fans are more likely to have sourced it out themselves.

Global comparison is interesting:

LWYMMD Day 1: 7,908,492

LWYMMD Day 2: 5,429,680

ME! Day 1: 7,945,784

ME! Day 2: 5,226,868

I kind of assumed with how abrasive LWYMMD is, that it would have the bigger day 2 drop but alas it's the other way around.

Or people didn't seek out Taylor as the song isn't very good

Dont think the taylor track encourages further listening

Unless you are 7-12 years old which seem to be her target sadly

Even more disappointing for Taylor... What’s it looking like it’ll be officially then, OTR #1 Stormzy #2 and Taylor #3?

Taylor's doing fine, not quite as well as I expected but equally not awful. Look What You Made Me Do was always going to get off to a better start because it was off the back of the hugely successful 1989. ME! has reputation has a springboard which is far less impactful! It probably won't be a #1 debut but I have no doubt it'll prove itself as a solid hit long-term and set the era up pretty well.

Keisha & Becky has been top 10 for two weeks though?? I guess personal opinions don't have much to do with the chart.

True; to be honest I don't like either song. But I was more suggesting that it was the fact the update was so late (which didn't stop Stormzy, or the rest of the top 5 gaining or staying put), that the quality of Taylor's song may also be a factor in the fact she's had such a drop.

I mean she's Number 1 on virtually every playlist going
