Posted April 4, 20196 yr Can't find a thread on this yet.. anyone fancy sharing the odds and who is good value or not? I'd post a full list but the odds checker website just provides all the odds. Netherlands and Russia big favourites at the moment. Any tipsters out there willing to suggest who is good value for money at this early stage?
April 4, 20196 yr I put £5 on Italy winning at 12/1, that was well worth a bet. I personally think they’ll finish 2nd, but could quite easily finish 1st. Your safest bet would be The Netherlands, but they’re the favourites at around 2/1!

Your safest bet would be The Netherlands, but they’re the favourites at around 2/1! Thanks - I plumped £4ew on Italy at 12/1. Netherlands too short a price for me at the moment, especially as I am guessing this is all just off the fan buzz at the moment?
April 6, 20196 yr So happy according to https://eurovisionworld.com/odds/eurovision Switzerland finally overtook that awful russian entry and got that #2 spot at the moment. Also brilliant to see that fabtastic entry from Iceland still in the top 5. I would love to see them smashing in at first place in the final night. :w00t: On the other hand, I can't understand why that dull entry from Netherlands is the biggest favourite to win. It would be a boring winner if the odds are right. <_<
April 6, 20196 yr I think the best value for a win/each way bet at the moment is probably Greece which you can get in the low teens, they've got the ability to get both a high jury and televote score so they can't be discounted!
April 6, 20196 yr The answer is right in front of you. The production is subtle but memorable, the singer is more than qualified to take it to the bank with his vocal abilities, it's just a fantastic song that will be a good contrast to the previous year's Top 2. With the right staging (I'd imagine something not too overpowering or chaotic but with a BIG moment in the final chorus) Duncan will hit it out of the park especially if other ballads fail to deliver.
April 7, 20196 yr I’m also going to put an each way bet Greece at 16/1. I’m pretty sure it’s going to go finish top 5, I’ve seen a bit of hype build up over the last few weeks. The only thing that concerns me is that it’s a grower for sure and the casuals may not like it on first listen.
April 7, 20196 yr On the other hand, I can't understand why that dull entry from Netherlands is the biggest favourite to win. It would be a boring winner if the odds are right. <_< It resonates with people, it's beautifully sung, his voice fits the sing perfectly and with the right staging (somethjng the dutch have been very good at if they get it right: See Calm After The Storm) Duncan can hit a homerun. It's an obvious jury fave

It's an obvious jury fave Agreed! I watched his live performance of it last night and his vocals sounded stunning. With the right staging, this *will* be a moment.
April 8, 20196 yr I feel low key quite confident in it repeating Salvador's comfortable victory over both jury and televoting personally.
April 8, 20196 yr Me too, I often have that "it's too good to be true" feeling with big faves but this is just ticking all the boxes. It's gonna eat up jury votes and the casuals will stan but the fans are loving it too, it's just such a great beautiful song and has everything going for it. I'm usually wary after Occidentali's Karma but in this case I just can't see any of the other big contenders quite doing it whereas Arcade is just storming in every way.
April 9, 20196 yr I feel low key quite confident in it repeating Salvador's comfortable victory over both jury and televoting personally. I'm not that sure, I got a feeling that uptempo song from Switzerland (She Got Me or 'Despacito meets Fuego') can win with a huge televote support. Well, last year, I knew since the first time I heard Netta's song that she would win. :P
April 17, 20196 yr I've put my first (maybe only, depending on rehearsals) two bets on. £2.50 each way on Iceland to win at 12/1 £7.50 each way on Australia to win at 50/1 Obviously placing a lot of faith in my fave here. I know some people don't even think Kate will qualify but it's surely going to be such a moment! I need to believe that she'll be rewarded and snatch an unexpected top four placing. As for Iceland, it's just going to stand out so much, and I can't look past the feeling that it might do a Lordi. Deep down I'm sure the bookies are right and that Netherlands will top both the televote and the jury vote but there's almost no point betting on it as the odds are so short so I'm just pinning my hopes on a couple of long shots instead.
May 7, 20196 yr OMG! Switzerland won the press poll semi final 2 but has plummeted to 6th place and Netherlands didn't do that well but it's still on the lead. I can't understand!
May 7, 20196 yr Tbf Switzerland and the Netherlands were rehearsing on different days so were competing for press votes with different songs. Switzerland had Latvia, Ireland, Romania and Moldova as competition, the Netherlands were up against Russia, Malta and Azerbaijan. Also I think the press poll means shit. Just look at Georgia and San Marino both being top 10 in semi 1 with their scores
May 8, 20196 yr Azerbaijan is the 4th favourite now. :o Also surprised to see Malta as the highest female act this year. Cyprus and Greece who? :P Edited May 8, 20196 yr by Jason
May 12, 20196 yr It'd be crazy if "Roi" outdoes the excellent "J'ai Cherché", "Requiem" and "Mercy"
