I don't believe Madonna's last studio album reached Gold but i am not certain.

That said, Kiss Me Once failed to make gold for Kylie and Golden turned that around and has almost sold double of Kiss Me Once.

For Madonna, the same is possible if there is a good campaign behind the album in addition to music people will connect with.

 

Madonna's last album and Kiss Me Once sold the exact same amount.

I thought they were close in sales alright.

Madoona did good promo for her last album too if i remember correctly, Jonathon Ross, The Brits etc.
